Langmead going will disappoint a lot of people - hope we're getting a decent wedge for him.
Dunfield will, as always, split opinion.
But the bottom line is it frees up some space and some cash for a few new faces. Which is what we need.

wont be too sad to see either leave to be honest. dunfield never really hit a rich vein on aything like a consistant level. langers been here a while to be fair, and many will say he has been a loyal serveant, but how much of that is about nothing better being available to him? either way, i wish them both good luck for the future.

Not sad to see either go really.
It will free up the wage budget somewhat; as i imagine Dunfield is on a decent wage, given the size of his transfer fee.
Dunfield never really got going; to me he isn't physical enough for a central midfield player, plus he just gets by and drifts out of games, no real drive or spark there. Would be a decent 5 a side player.
Langmead, well to me he looked slow and lumberous. Appreciate his effort, but this is a good chance for a fresh new team with a new manager. I felt it was all going rather stale last term.

Gutted Kelvin is going, my player of the season last year.
Dunfield improved alot last season and clearly all this international stuff has got to his head and clearly rates himself very highly.
Goodluck Kelvin.

Aren't Dave Hibbert and Kelvin big mates? Disappointed to see KL go he was the type of player we need to keep hold of but can't blame him for wanting to try his luck at a higher level. As for Dunfield all rather odd.
Has Lewis Neal got any international ambitions he'd like to develop?

Sad to see Kelvin go but not on footballing terms. He has been a loyal player for us over the years but he isnt as good as SCS or Sharps.
If Peterboro sign him i think footballing wise they have signed two players off us that really arnt as good as they think. Hibbo was pretty average alot of the time and langmead cant pass. I wonder what the fee is? I'd guess at around 100k?
Dunfield im not botherd about, easilyu replaced and as GT said he wasnt playes who are fully committed. I'd like a more attacking center midfielder now please!

Cleary seems Mr Dunfield has a rather large chip on his shoulder.
Good riddance 'Duffield'.

Last season Kelvin was of the few players who always gave 100%, he is not STFC's greatest centre back ever but he has been a great servant to the club. You can never stop a player wanting to play at a higher level. Good Luck to him.
Strange Dunfield going when no club is mentioned has his contract just been cancelled.

No need to panic at all. If anything this is a blessing in disguise, we needed a few bodies to leave, as now we have the manager who can bring in quality to this football club.
I like what Turner says in the press, seems to be on the money every time. He demands what we lacked last season, and thats players with a true desire to succeed with this football club.

Good luck to Langmead. Excellent servant to the club. Dunfield had a decent 6 months but its hardly a huge blow him leaving. Canada must be a top team

Strong words from GT.. (but good to hear them though ) WOW, this is a stunner is it not? JAMO - where is your TWOTS on this one?!! Think Langmead saw the signing of Sharps and knew he was likely to be 3rd choice. Cash now is a good deal. If Dunfield can get a deal at a better level than 4th division in England, more power to him.. Like the no nonsense management stance from Turner very much.

Won't we be getting a fee for Dunfield too? I think a fee for Langmead is very good business.

Wise words from a wise old head. I really hope and believe that GT will get them playing with fire in their bellies. Am pushing my old man to get himself back down the Meadow after years and years away (apart from the odd Boxing Day game) and he sounded like he was pretty keen. Hopefully some other fans like him will be encouraged back by GT.

Won't we be getting a fee for Dunfield too? I think a fee for Langmead is very good business. If we can recoup anywhere near the rumoured 65k for Dunfield we'd do well. From Turners comments I think he'll take the first offer coming. Is the consensus on here that Dunfield is capable of playing at a higher level? Perhaps package Lewis Neal in the deal to really get the interest coming.

Dunfield playing at a higher level? I suppose you can't rule it out entirely.
Sad to see Langmead go.
But both are very replaceable.

Is the consensus on here that Dunfield is capable of playing at a higher level? Not convinced myself....but someone has obviously convinced him. He may well get a L1 club, just on the back of his international cap - but I have a sneaking suspicion he will soon be back in L2 and will end up regretting this decision.

Turner sounds pretty livid with Dunfield. I don't rate his chances of getting a gig at a higher level on the basis of a so-so season at Town and an international friendly against Venezuela. I would have told him to **** off too.

Sad to see the three players (Dunfield, Langmead, Hibbert) who were the heart of our sde last year, and always gave 100% have all decided to go elsewhere. Even if they weren't the best quality wise they gave everything and were the sort of players I wanted to see representing the club.
Unfortunately all three expressed a strong desire to leave, and as all three are more than replaceable the right decision has been made .
I respect that all three have the right to try and further their careers, but it does seem disapointing the way that Langmead and in particular Dunfield have gone about engineering their moves.
I trust Turner to bring in the right players to replace them
Funny that, I have defended Dunfield and Langmead on his board over the last week or so, and now they've both gone. Shall I start defending Lewis Neal now, or Elder?

Sad to see Kelvin go, always gave 100% and a stalwart to the club.
However, can both be replaced? Most definitely, so all part of the evolution of our club

Good luck Kalvino, always will remember his first goal against Chester...good hit son! As for Dunfield if he was good enough he would walk into the Canada team regardless of where he was playing his club football. I must admit a international manager who picks his team on the reputation of the players club is a new one on me! Bye bye Terry maybe Bickerton can help you find a new club! ;-)

How very, very strange.
A fee for Langers is good business, but let's remember a centre back in a play off final team twice is a decent player.
The Dunfield one is just bizarre, but it clears a peg in the dressing room for some quality. Just a shame we cannot lose the driftwood every summer instead of the spine. We are going to need a decent midfielder, to add to the left back, winger and stirker we so desperately need.
I think Roland's chequebook might be in for a battering.

The general tone on here is right. Good players for us, Langmead especially, but both can readily be replaced.
Sharps and Sherriff would have been my first choice pair anyway, whilst Dunfield lacked consistency and the midfield needs freshening up.
Good luck to both of them though. Kelvin's done well to get in at a higher level and I like that we're getting a fee for him. I can understand Dunfield wanting a move if his national coach has more or less given him an ultimatum. Can't blame the player for that.
Most importantly, it's more cash in the pot for us. Should give room for a more creative centre mid to be brought in to complement Disley/McIntyre. I wouldn't go overboard at centre back though - yes, bring in cover but we have got Hooman and Goldson to develop there too.
