Promotion nothing more and nothing less. He delivered first time last time in a higher league for us. I expect the same this time.

considering he hasnt even been appointed yet, let alone got any players in, i think it is too early to say. i would like to see entertaining football, and people staying off his back for a good while.

I agree on people not to get on his back. I would like to experience a positive and enjoyable atmosphere with everyone getting behind the team and new manager.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if player negotiations have been going on behind the scenes for some time (Skarz,MaCallum & Ainsworth for starters please) - good entertaining football, an improved stadium atmosphere and lots of positivity please. It will be interesting to see how well backed he is with available funds given that the chairman has eventually got his man, a man he obviously respects and has targeted for over a year and seemingly a man that he is a fan of.

It would be very interesting to see which players are lined up.
A couple of proven players at this level, including a goalscorer, and we could be in with a serious chance.

Win, draw or lose. It would just be good to see some attractive, passing football whilst seeing the players giving everything they can for the new manager.
Last season was so depressing going to games was starting to become a chore, I want to get to the stage where I look forward to going to the games again.
Its too hard to predict where we will finish at this stage I think.

depends what the transfer business is like
if we go down the paul simpson type route again e.g. £100,000 plus signings, a string of experienced players from higher division clubs, then once again i'll expect promotion
if we make cheap / free signings of young players and giving the young lads here plenty of chance then i'll be more than patient as long as we're showing signs of progress.

Its more what is expected from RW...........
Fourth year at the N Meadow with the increase in revenue so I expect promotion and nothing less! RW has chosen GT to lead us so expect backing to make the illusive dream happen (whatever it takes)
If we fail I will not be blaming GT but looking toward the chairman and board....
Having said that I'm fairly sure GT will be introduced in some role tomorrow but will it be manager?

If we get the £500k from Joe, then playoffs at least. That will be needed to fill this years commercial "black hole" no doubt !!

Steady signs of improvement on and off the pitch would be very welcome after 3 years where we have gone backwards for the most part.

At least the play offs. Get rid of our hoofball and defensive mentality and play attacking entertaining football. A good FA Cup run and some decent signings and I think it'll end in promotion.

Marcus Gt started work today, why do you think i posted welcome home GT;)) I'm sure he had had an input for several weeks going by what has been sorted out with coaching staff and players out of contract - that is something I can't imagine hapopening if we were really 'interviewing' a new manager

Really depends on what scope he has. Is GT a cheap but popular option or will RW back him fully and allow our new man the freedom to bring a similar calibre of player that Simmo was allowed to attract.

Nothing less than going up as champions, win the FA Cup, League Cup, Johnsons Paint Trophy and Shropshire cup on the other hand making the playoffs would be great.

This season I'm determined to have no expectations at all. I was right about last season and wrong about the season before. I'd love it if we would turn to the young good players we have. I think that would make for an interesting season Graham Turner and Roland Wycherley are two strong-minded men. I just hope they continue to see eye to eye.

Will depend on the budget he is provided with
But with a half decent one Id certainly expect to be challenging for the play-offs at least
As other posters have said, it would be nice to actually have a attacking, pacey team and some actual excitement. Personally Id like to see a settled side with players playing in their natural positions and good understandings eg a keeper, central defensive partnership, a central midfield partnership and a settled front 2. We havent had that for a long, long time
