The new management team is..... Graham Turner as Director of Football (Once he can shift his stake in Hereford.
Alan Knill to come in as manager, and to bring his coaches.
The board of Directors want a complete new change, new players, new staff new , and new way of football. Bradshaw and Hibbo to stay with this deal.
No reason to lie as I'm a Blackpool fan but have friends within Shrewsbury. Think its a very good move and exactly what you need.

Not welcome here.

7th Lowest Budget in the league to 4th last year, and possible play offs this year. Is the thinking behind it. As appose to Shrews 7th highest budget and 12th/13th. He's also leaving behind 4 assets saleable assets, and it seems although perhaps by a stroke of look with Bradshaw.
However I forgot to mention theres opposition from MK Dons and Oldham. But Shrews are firmly in the driving seat.

Well if true I for one would be well pleased.
When he took the Bury job on they were staring relegation in the face. In just over 2 years he has taken them from that position to within 1 goal of automatic promotion last season and they have only just fallen away from the promotion race this season.
His resources are minimal compared to many in this league, including ourselves. The problem he has is that because he has such a low budget he has a good first 11 but an inadequate squad to sustain a certain promotion push. However, any Shrewsbury doubters should remember he has done this with certain Shrewsbury cast offs, i.e. Lowe, Worrell, and Micheal Jones.
He has a good eye for non league bargains i.e. Bishop, likes a bit of steel in his side i.e. Sodje and always plays football.
Previously he did a good job at Rotherham and knows the lower leagues like the back of his hand, Ala Gary Peters reference in the Shropshire Star.
I would much rather him than many of the so called star names being bandied about!

Whether this is true or not - Alan Knill would be a good choice – his Bury sides have always been strong and a tough team to break down, and in both games this season gave us a tough encounter – especially away where we could have been 2 or 3 down by half time.
Plus, he know‘s the league two very well and some of our squad which will help when it come to deciding who he can work with next season.
I realise their recent form has not been great (similar to us) but they are have often been up there and on a smaller budget too.

Knill has failed at Bury. Not welcome here. Most of the managers available have "failed" somewhere which probably gives a clue as to why they are available. Most posters seem to disagree with you on this one.

Isn't football funny. If Bury had scored one more goal last season we would all be hailing this as a fantastic appointment right now. I would be happy with him in charge.

Yes every manager has failed but they have achieved something.
What's he done?

Turned a struggling side on a poor budget into promotion contenders. Sadly he hasn't got a championship on his cv like Paul Simpson has.

Yes but our last two ex managers have achieved more with us than Knill has at Bury,
would be a backward step appointing someone who hadn't even managed that.

Turned a struggling side on a poor budget into promotion contenders. Sadly he hasn't got a championship on his cv like Paul Simpson has. I'm sure players like Andy Morrell, Andy Bishop, Ryan Lowe and Efe Sodje aren't what you would class as 'low budget' players.

Can't believe no one has mention the fact that a. Bury are ahead of us again in the table, and b. possibly more importantly that there's one game left and they could well be in the playoffs come sunday morning.

He was linked with us earlier this year, and then we signed Holloway (happy to be fair). Its his style of football is so appealing, players from all over want to come and play that way, which is why he gets the best young players, as they want to play like that. Thats the reason our chairman said we were interested in him.
A very reliable source said hes the one for you, however Mk Dons and Oldham are interested. So depends who acts the quickest.

Notts County lied about there budget and are now £6 million in debt. In theory Shrewsbury did have and still will possibly have the highest budget in league 2 next season, if Oxford don't get promoted bar Wycombe Wanderers and possibly Tranmere next season.

Statement in an interview from GT yesterday
Graham Turner, in reflective mood, talks about his career at Edgar Street, which looks likely to come to an end as Hereford play their final game of the season against Rotherham tomorrow.
"I don't know what the future holds" said Turner in an extended interview available exclusively on Bulls Player. "I left Wolves after a very successful period there, but was out of work for 16 months so you can never tell what's going to happen."
"I'll enjoy the final day and then decide what to do."
