I'm going to follow Billbo's lead and eventually make my own web page.
I have my webspace sorted but now I need to know:
What's the best photo suite to use to do things like making images from a digital camera smaller?
Any there any free HTML tools that will make my life any easier?
Any tips or general advice is gratefully accepted!

I use Microsoft front page and macromedia dream weaver to help with the HTML. I'll try and knock you up a copy of them and bring them to you tomorrow night

Give Blue Peter a ring. They made one up from an old fairy liquid bottle, some tape and a kilo of freeze dried elephant droppings.

Front Page Express is a very basic html editor but is pretty good if you can get to grips with it. It normally comes with a standard installation of internet explorer.
