Agreed! Lukey on for Banim was to late. He only had about 3 minutes to play............................ And by then it was to late

were either of darby or banim injured? If not, why mess at all, we had scored two goals and looking reasonably comfortable.

I was glad that Jimmy left Luke on the bench. I thought Banim played OK, whilst Darby was excellent. I agree with the last post, we looked good going forward and didn't need to sub them unless they were injured.

I'm not so sure the substitutions made much difference to be honest.
We had already sat back and stopped really playing before they came on. It wasn't the strikers, it was other players switching off coupled with the Referee losing the plot a little towards the end (it's no excuse, but it didn't help)
Also, although I was annoyed with us trying to keep the ball by the corner flag near the end of the Barnet game, I would gladly have accepted us doing something like that today.
Scant consolation but a win and a draw from the last two games is something I would have taken if you'd asked me after the Hereford game, it's just dissapointing the way it went today.
Also, keeping the same front two for two games in a row is a smart decision by my reckoning, it keeps some sort of stability in the team.

lowe was absolutely awful time after time he hoofed it into areas where no town player was within 50 yards
2-0 up and coasting
banim tiring and lowe awful
simple changes
lowe off and luke on wide right banim off and edwards or tolley on to help shut up shop

Quinn said Darby was knackered and pleased to come off.
The players were to blame. They are payed to play football for 90 minutes not 80.

Another case of JQ and his many Strikers casuing problems - no need to take darby off other than to give cramb a run!!!!! We are not Man U we can not afford to rest people and wd paied for it - also the guy tht they got on for coppinger was the difference - Rids and tino did not seems to have been told who was marking him, thats how he got his goal Another point when Ridds dropped out to chase some one prior to the first of there goals why of all people did Street drop to cover - ment the miget could not get near flack for the head which then got to the guy that scored

The one thing that I noticed was that Banim and Darby talked more today, compared to when Rodgers was with Darby they hardly ever spoke, so maybe this is some kind of understanding they have or something?

Maybe Street dropped to fill in for Rids???
The manager has stated that Darby was pleased to come off and that he was shattered. From all acounts Darby has been the main man in our last 3 games (all big games) all 3 of which have been played within the last 8 days. Ever thought that Quinn may be telling the truth, after all Darby has taken a battering in the last 8 days.
The problem was the players thinking ahead to collecting their win bonuses. The exeter team sensed this and the game to us and clawed their way back for a draw.

Darby looked a bit tired but Rob there were 8 minutes left!!!!!
Is that going to make a difference at all - come theres no chance

Look at it the other way Pricey.
8minutes left, Exeter have done nothing, 2-0 up. How can taking off two strikers for the Golden boy (Rodgers) and the leading goal scorer (Cramb) be blamed for giving away two sloppy free-kicks and two sloppy goals.
It was a case of same old same old, sit back turn off and savour the win (or not in our case).

Fair point Rob but - I think most people could not belive that Lowe did not go as well - he was the one that gave that free kick away that got them back in the game and street was fadeing quicker than Darby and Banim!!!

spoke to Darby in the players lounge and he's got a virus still and was having trouble breathing. we were 2-0 up with 8 mins to go, you can't blame JQ for having some faith in his players and that we might actually hold on for the last 8 mins thought CC did ok when he came on, apart from one dodgy flick (which, when he lost possesion, he won the ball back), and he won all his headers can't understand why Banim is starting, think he is more guilty of being greedy than anyone else Rodgers & Darby up front Vs. Telford please JQ

I know the goals coincided with the substitutions having been made, but like faginy I don't think they are the main reason we concceded those two goals, I think the players switched off.
Now whether that's Jimmy's fault or the player's fault I wouldn't like to say...
