Working in Ipswich Monday but staying overnight sunday. I intend arriving about mid-day sunday, having a few liveners and giving the Ipswich and West Brom players the benefit of my cider fuelled encouragement.
Any one been and know of any decent pubs ? I'm staying in the Novotel next door to Portman Road.

Been to Ipswich 2 times both were mid week games, we don't have a very good record there however only got there just in time for KO so can't help , its a very nice ground though.

Here's the tale. I get off the Herald of free enterprise..soon to sink at Felixstowe, bus to Ipswich, have to walk past Portman Road with heavy bags, just as Bradford fans come out of ground and decide to chase a Town fan, with his scarf around his neck. Thankfully I find train station and Im on me way to London Liverpool Street

Remember Hale and Pace's take off of the yellow pages? The one were "old Ted shouldnt be doing that at his age" well old Ted was avin it away with a young lady. Very funny Back to The Herald: When it went down I was absolutely gobsmacked, I have photo's I of it..they are eerie eerie as in scary, not eerie as in eagle's nesting place

I went to PR earlier this season to watch England vs Croatia. I think the ground is great; some new stands but they are all close to the pitch which make for a good atmosphere.
