Remember that "Jo" who posted a few weeks ago saying she was interested in making a Calendar of our team? Well- I accused my eldest daughter- because HER name's Jo- and she and her friend Jane from Prees are a lethal combination, I can tell you. They'd do it for a laugh! But she denies it!! She (really, I'm not kidding) makes calendars of Cats and Dogs, because that's her business- she breeds them and sells them, and does cards and things on the computer and sells them. Anyway- OUR lads are not dogs, are they!!!! Most of them are lovely! ;D (Oh- and my Jo is on the front cover of "Our Dogs" and "Dogs Weekly" - I don't think I'd like that, really, if I was her!! No- she's not a dog- she was showing the dog that got Best in Show in Edinburgh last week!) My youngest was on The "Queen" website when they put photographs up of people at the Convention last year!!

i tell you what wiggy. That could be a nice little earner for B&A if we could get a calender of the ground. We would need someone with an artistic bent to organise it though. What do you reckon ?

You're right, Jamo- it could be a "football season" calendar going from August. Would it be worth suggesting to Ant? He's after fund-raising ideas.
I'd actually approach Jo- she does professional quality stuff- but she wouldn't be reliable- she has to do her dog stuff first, because that's her income.

Nice idea guys, I've always wanted a Town calendar myself. People have said it's not pracitcal before because Town players could move to another club at any minute but photos of the ground would be a different matter altogether.

It could have photos of grounds we've played on this season to remind us of the Conference ;D

How about one of players that have graced the Blue and Amber or Blue and White.
I am sure mattsnapper would donate some of his pics.

It could encompass the whole Shrewsbury Town experience.
Start in the Nags/Crown/Telepost
Wyle cop
Narrows
the Buffet
the depths of despair....no wait
end in the Nags/Crown/Telepost

we have looked at it, me and matt have spent a lot of time on it over the years and it is probably possible but it's always down to cost.
on the prices we have got always seem to work out at about £10+ on the run we could get. if we could print 500 then the cost would be very worthwhile.
you have to remeber if you want something that is quality then you have to pay for, it's ok to say that matt would give up some of his pictures but you can't expect him not to want to make something out of it.
out of interest how much would people pay for a calendar?

I HATE TO SAY THIS... but we dont have a fan base to make it worth while. We need at least ONE in FOUR town fans to buy it. I dont think they will. This is for a calendar at £12 ish. Although the current matchday programme is superb, it still does not sell nearly as many as we want to. I still have 200 Meadow Memories left. A calander is a superb idea, I so want to do it, but its costing. Someone get each month sponsored for £200 and get back to me and whits. Unless we do a Shrewsbury Town oldies calander then we have to wait until we have a settled team. If we had of done one at the start of the season.. you would be looking at Jags, Murray, Rioch, Watts etc. In August who was Jody Banim.. Darby was unheard of. A calender in 2 years time remembering the Meadow is a possibility- but thats me doing stuff for FREE
