Hope so, but I can't see how they will cover his wages.

they get some decent attendances, 2-4000. maybe he will take a cut to travel home. Shame the crowd got on his back so quickly, hope he scores goals, wherever he goes

Its a great move for him. Playing for a team on the up with passionate support should do him a world of good.
Lets hope theyre paying his wages though...

Loan or permanant? Is he leaving for free?
Would free up even more wages for transfers.

I was under the impression he's joining them permanently actually, not heard anything about a loan.

That leaves Bright and Robinson to offload. Garner, Jackson, Elder already off the payroll.

Friday 15 January 2010 first team news Terry looking forward to getting back into action
The good news about the pitch was exactly what Terry Brown wanted to hear after his efforts yesterday to help get it ready for Saturday's game. He can't wait to get back into action tomorrow and had some player news to add when we spoke to him a few minutes ago.
"Owing to the sterling efforts of at least 30 loyal supporters we are pleased that Saturday's game is able to progress. Having helped out a little myself, it is amazing how long it takes to clear a football pitch. It is important that we get Saturday's and Tuesday's games played so as to avoid a fixture pile up that I certainly think will affect the northern clubs.
"Fortunately, we have been able to strengthen the squad over the last two weeks and it is evident enough that we needed to do so as the second half of the season we will need strength in depth.
"On the injury front we have doubts concerning Danny Kedwell and Paul Lorraine and definitely out of Saturday's game is Elliott Godfrey with cracked ribs from the Stevenage game, Steven Gregory with a groin injury, Derek Duncan with a virus and the departure of Luis Cumbers whose loan has ended; he has decided to stay at Gillingham and force his way back into their first team.
"We are also hoping to sign a big target man prior to Saturday's game but until a medical and the paperwork have been completed we can't say any more. If there is any news, we will announce it later today."

That leaves Bright and Robinson to offload. Garner, Jackson, Elder already off the payroll. Prefer not to offload Bright or Robinson at this stage. I think they can still do well for us and too many changes in January won't help. I'll be happy if we get 2-3 good ones in now and go with what we have.

ThIs is why AFC Wimbledon boss Terry Brown signed him - I hope it works out for for Nathan and Wimbledon -
"AFC Wimbledon boss Terry Brown wants to bring in an experienced target man as cover for Danny Kedwell.
The Dons hotshot who's bagged 17 goals already this term, has missed the last two games with injury as AFC have drawn a blank on both occasions.
And although Brown has Jon Main, Ross Montague and Peter Rapson at his disposal, he's desperate to bring in a big lump to help maintain their Blue Square Premier play-off push.
He said: "I think it's evident we have missed Kedwell when he hasn't played because we haven't got a like-for-like replacement.
"I'm actively looking to bring in a big lump. I've got a list as long as my arm of ones who aren't playing, but they're a rare commodity, and expensive. We need experience to help some of the youngsters.
"I would to strengthen in a couple of positions, and would like a goalscoring midfielder too."

We clearly didn't see the best of Nathan. Before we're too harsh on him, I think we should remember his horrific injury. Has he recovered mentally? I wish him the best of luck with his new club.

But we signed him when he had hardly played since his horrific injury.
I don't think anyone actually blames the player for taking up the offer to come here. I wish Benson had!

Let's not fool ourselves here. Elder was a panic buy made more in the hope of placating the fanbase than of improving the playing squad.
It is right that he leaves and we should ensure that we do not make the same mistake again.
I wish him luck in The Conference and hope things go well fro him but i doubt very much that it will. He is Blue Square standard at best.

The bad news:
"It hasn't quite worked out for Nathan with us as yet so hopefully this will give him a little boost."
That suggests to me that he'll be coming back.
The good news:
"This might now give us the opportunity to get some more new faces in to bolster the squad for the second half of the season."
Hopefully we'll have some players in for the Dagenham game.

No great surprise Nathan has gone to be honest, and i wouldnt be surprised if we didnt see him in a Town shirt again, even though i would keep him. I really do hope that he goes there, gets games under his belt and scores some goals. It will really boost his confidence and perhaps seal a move there permanently if Simmo doesnt want him any more. To be fair hes worked hard, and puts loads of effort in, he just seems to lack the instinct to be a free scoring striker, which is what we need alongside Hibbo

Good luck to the lad, no doubting his effort and will but at the end of the day his ability let him down far to many times. Can't see a future for him here but a good spell and things could change, a beneficial move for us and him at this time.

What great, great news!! Or is it .... he may be back? :-( Please no!!!!!
Not the lad's fault that we asked him to come here - but deep down he must have known he wasn't any good anymore (if he ever was any good?) - so he was conning us slightly.
How on earth have we managed to offload him?
No-one from Wimbledon can have seen any of his performances for us that's for sure.
Was it his ball control, his vision, his hold up play, his dribbling, his shooting, his powerful well directed heading, link up play or just that he is a total goal machine which attracted them?
Very definately the worst striker I have ever seen in a Town shirt - and I have seen a few bad ones.
I agree with Jamo about his true level.
Getting rid is a good sign though - maybe with a decent pre-season, and that is a super start, we may yet achieve something this season.
