Tis true Dave. He was claiming that our stewards should basically forget supporting the Shrews at Hereford and go to Telford and Steward there. Trying to make the Shrews supporters/stewards look bad but in all honesty just made a prat of himself. I've spoke to a few neutrals since getting back into Shrewsbury (two of which are Telford fans) and they have said exactly the same. All in all a desperate phone in to Radio Shropshire and only made himself a laughing stock!

What a plonker He just does not know how to do good PR does he? He has now shown his true colours, valid arguements or not he has proved that he is just on a vendetta to ruin anything good about STFC, bad Albie, must try harder

his call to the raio was a pathetic attempt to take a swipe at STFC. the sooner he gets to be some welsh MP the better. i enjoyed Ade P's response though, Ade had to use another word for bollox (in that Albie was talking it), the word he came up with was "twaddle",, classic!

I also had a text reply read out, stating that, as usual, Albie seemed unable to grasp facts, and as STFC stewards were also fans, they would have already have paid for match tickets and made travel arrangments. I wish him well in his quest to become an MP for the No-hope party, preferably for the constituency of Orkney, or perhaps more appropriately, the S(c)illy Isles.

I was told that Telford made an approach to STFC for help with the stewarding at 10.30pm Friday night. That was obviously too late to start ringing round to try and get everyone to change plans for Saturday.
STFC stewards will be helping out for the Chester game on Tuesday though.
I'm told that Telford replaced their local stewards with stewards supplied by a security firm this season. Had they kept the old local stewards there would not have been this problem.
I find it interesting that Cllr Fox argues that STFC are a business and therefore should not be supported by the Council but also believes that it should act like a charity when one of its local "competitors" gets into financial trouble. Do you really think that Tescos would be holding store collections for Sainsburys it they got into financial trouble!
