So how do we think we'll line up this Saturday versus Hereford?
I appreciate some maybe a little disapointed with just the one deadline signing but with Challis and Lawrence we now have players capable giving the team the balance it needs...I expect both to start this Saturday although I'm unsure as to who will be left and who left midfield.
One concern I have is that Quinn said he would give Jody a run in the team. Which makes you think he might go with 4-3-3 again...either that or he'll have to drop Rodgers or Darby or disapoint Jody? For me we have to play 4-4-2...
Lot of ifs and buts int there with regards to injury...but if we have everyone available (not Sam of course) how do you see us lining up? Who would you play on the right? Would you include O'Connor, Tolley and Street? Would you prefer Sedgemore to Street in midfield?
Who to play up front?
Questions, Questions, Questions... ;D

I reckon
4-4-2
Howie
Moss Tinson Ridler Challis
Lowe Sedge Street Lawrence
Darby Banim
The midfield all depends on who is fit or not, I hope O'Connor and Tolley and Edwards recover in time.

Howie Moss Tinson Ridler Challis Banim Oconnor Tolley Lawrence Darby Cramb!
From the reports of Tuesdays match and Quinns reaction I think hes getting abit annoyed with Luke trying to win games on his own. Cramb and Darby worked last time we beat Hereford, and although im not sure about Banim on the right, thats what i think he'll go for.

For all of Luke's running and effort, hes only scored 4 in his last 21

I can't see Challis starting either but pushing Lawerence into the midfield would be really good.
I think he's going to go for the Derby/Cramb combo up front, a bit of presence and then bring on Lukey for the bite!

Shopshire Star seems to be saying Challis will start- Id go for Lowe and Lawrence out wide- the front two is difficult- good as Tretton could be I remember him being slow so Rodgers may be able to exploit that.

I defo think the two new lads will start but I'm more in the thinking that it will be Challis playing left back with the young lad playing left midfield...
What news on the injuries?

definitely 442 for me!!
when's Sammy back from suspension and how's his injury coming along? - last thing we need is for him to end his ban and still be injured!!!

Only a prat would drop Rodgers. Yes he's not scoring, but no one else is creating anything for him to snap up.
I'd say he has more pressence upfront than Darby for the mere fact that he harrys back and chasses balls, hassels defenders etc.
Having said that it is obvious JQ will drop him from reading comments in the star.
However what can you say except that a striker is supposed to be reasonably selfish, the day a striker starts passing up opportunities to have a crack at goal is the day that that striker needs to be dropped.
Rodgers' career has been stalled by STFC and JQ so the least that the club (and us the fans) can do is get behind him, stay patient and appreciate his skill (for instance the instant control of a long ball on the halfway line against aldershot before skipping past two of their defenders).
