Tactics should in the first instance suit the players you have, over time you can recruit new players to reflex the style of play you want.

How does £2 million fit with the salary cap?

I think you'll find they're setting their sights a little higher than Grant Holt - sure Sven will say Grant Who...............

How does £2 million fit with the salary cap? My understanding was the new owners can give the club £x million and that will be included in the club turnover so the 60%/75% limited will just mean the owners pumping cash into to keep them in line with the regulations. I could be completely wrong though...

Isn't everything based on the previous seasons turnover though so they will have to work within that limit?

I could be completely wrong though... It wouldn't surprise me, but that would be a big flaw in the system as it's only a turnover for one year. I would expect that Sven's contract is above Notts County (ie with the middle east co's company). SO not paid by Notts County

The Irish property guy paid £millions for the shirt sponsorship at Peterborough a couple of seasons ago- whilst in Town's league. (The going rate is £tens/ hundreds of thousands annually normally at our level) Suppose that's one way of doing it

And now the chairman of wycombe has announced that unless supporters hand over 100% ownership to the club he wil lrecall his £7million loans and wycombe will go bust...

I may regret this statement, but given some of the financial shenanigans around in football I'd happily settle for mid-table if the price is common sense club management......
Gretna is the most extreme case I have seen of what can go wrong when you rely on one man (or rich benefactors). Great for a few years and then oblivion.

Well they have signed Hughes the murderer now.Doubt they will be in for Holt.If they are then at least we'll get some money to reinvest in the side.

Exactly. Stupid tw*t definitely. Guilty of death by dangerous driving and fleeing the scene - for certain. Murder's got a slightly different definition...

Sven managing County should raise the profile of League 2 and be a source of interest for the coming season.
Pity we don't play them at home until April when the novelty will have worn off.

I think you'll find they're setting their sights a little higher than Grant Holt - sure Sven will say Grant Who............... I'm sure Sven will say who? to everyone and probably Notts who? as well. It's ridiculous. A pension for Sven and who knows why some overseas benefactor would want to throw money at a League 2 club. Could have bought up any number of clubs higher up the leagues if they'd wanted to.

Would appear that the sun asked each club for a comment from the manager which is obviously below PS so an unknown fans spokesman made meaningless comment

Just to point out, the Burton fans haven't got a clue who their "spokesman" is either - and there are less of them! It couldn't be that The Sun made it up... could it ?

Norwich.[/quote Spot on Stuey - Everybody is thinking Notts County but rest assured that Norwich are seriously ''considering'' a bid, coming from a very reliable source only yesterday.
