Kevin Street is a decent player but he's being ****ed around. He's only a central midfielder.

I agree. He is a centre midfielder. It would be like playing Ridler at full back every week.It is unfair on him.

He got a chance in central midfield tonight and he blew it big time Shame Dave Edwards injury means he will remain in the side for the foreseeable future

Streety is OK. Over the last two games, I'd have him among the best five players both times. At least he puts the effort in (cough, Cramb, cough)

He was simply shocking tonight
he didn't win a tackle, and he certainly shirked a few
I don't mind a player missing a 50/50, but not stepping over it and letting them through every time
his passing was very very poor
I have no idea how he ever ended up playing professional football

Can't beleive Quinn sees him as\ better than Murray or Jags.
Didn't thing either of them were that good but Street isn't fit to lce their boots.

I can't believe we let Karl Murray and Steve Jagielka go to accomodate him. I feel seriously physically sick

Street has been given the 'Carl Murray' treatment by Quinn - small wonder he under performs - he has been basically been played as a winger since signing for us and he is essentially a central midfielder....
Sedgemore's performance tonite was diabolical... Street was marginally better ...
Both players are symptomatic of the result of not knowing where they are going to play in the team next .... Left back, left wing . centre defence , centre midfield....
If Sedgemore is a 'utility' player then its as a piece on a monopoly board cause it certainly isn't a football pitch..

Sorry i thought in the first half street played well, every pass went to a town player.
2nd half maybe he lost it a bit but bearing in mind we lost Edwards early on and O'Conner was limping for the whole of the 2nd half before being substituted Street was never going to be able to do anything on his own in the midfield.
And especially later on when we played 5 up front in the last 20 minutes and he was the only player in the centre of the pitch it's not surprising he struggled as everyone would have done.

Street aint a battler at all
He should play in a 442 have o,conner battling and him playing through balls and down the flanks, I think if he got to do this we would see a much different street.
With 433 he is expected to tackle back all the time and such and this aint his game, thats why he looks poor!

NewpShrew, I agree
He made some good passes last night, first half pretty much everyone went to town players - but i suppose that doesn't count cos its street - he's not a midfield battler and last night was having to do o'conners work (as he was clearly injured) as well as his own, he's never going to be successful. How people didn't see that is beyond me

I find this poll totally offensive - what kind of fan gives 2 such s**t options for a poll - you should be ashamed of yourself. Whatever you might think of Street he deserves much better than this. What the feck is wrong with this board? ??

Kevin Street has a good footballing brain and is always willing to get stuck in - unlike a few I could mention so I thinka few of you are bing a bit harsh here

once again a number of people have made up their minds that someone is crap, and nothing will change them. I thought Street was fine in the 3 man midfield in the first half, and then seemed as confused as everyone else when we changed the shape every 10 minutes in the second.
People were calling for him to be taken off but what were the options with O'Connor not fit and no midfielders available ?

everyone wants to pick on street but he played ok last night - i thought he was better in the second half when he got the ball down and tried to play some balls through to the front men. he was the only one who seemed capable of keeping the ball down. yes we know he's not a winger and we've seen him balls it up in front of goal but get off his back. this poll is a disgrace.
and btw get positive - we're still definitely in the hunt with games in hand - look for the positives. and we're still a financially stable club which is more than can be said for many - don't ever take that for granted.

finally a few sane people on here who are keen to give street a chance rather than slating him no matter.
people on this board were saying that it was wrong that cramb got booed when he came on (i don't think he did - o conner being subbed was the booing) but surely its wrong that street gets booed/shouted at no matter what he does?

he is a poor player but i have to agree that when he plays in his position of centre mid then he does play alot better( surprise surprise!). he was undoubtedly the best midfielder in a town shirt at the end of the game!

What an unhappy bunch this lot is. Street has a better workrate and I'd bet a better pass completion rate than anyone on the pitch, and gets stuck in when he needs to, and still you'll knock him about. Disgraceful. Not a professional footballer? You're crazed! (or blind)

What the feck is wrong with this board? ?? well said. i suggest the 19 so-called supporters who voted for this poll of excrement go and look up the word support. i know street aint the best player we have, but he gives 100% when he plays and thats all anyone can ask off him. if he inna good enogh have a go at the bloke who picks him. anyone who travels away will tell you that it takes more than a few waves to the riverside to play in this league. in nearly 30 years of watching salop, this season has been some of the worst i have seen but your moaning is making it worse. get behind those who are trying or stay at home. hounding players out is sad and it started with paul evans. think where this club was when we supported the team and not the board of directors.
