In Banims interview he says that he's getting a run in the team up front because all of the other strikers have had their fair chance.
Just wondering does this mean that Lowe will get a run up front as he is technically a striker and with the goals he's scored from midfield doesn't he deserve a chance? (This is coming from a person who, since Ryan Lowe has played as a winger, has decided he's useless. But I believe in fairness and the lad should be given a chance to shine in his chosen position!)

Had JQ signed Ryan Lowe, and he'd scored 11 goals I'm pretty sure he'd be getting a lot of games up front.
When we've got two out-of-form strikers getting so many starts, it does seem unfair, and also stupid!

I think most would agree that lowe has been given 0% chance to prove him self as a forward under Quinn and has therefore has his carrer at town runined. But most would also agree that Lowe is plain crap on the wing!!! puts him a bad position really!!!
I dont like this well its my turn cos everone else has had a go by Quinn, seems like we are never going to get a settled front line - but im looking forward to seeing DD, Luke and Jody attacking line up tonight

Yes but persisting with poor performers in the aim of getting a settled strike force is definatly not the answer either!! Just look at Colin Sham! Glyn, why don't you think everyone deserves a chance? If nobody had given you a chance up front and kept you playing in defence you wouldn't have appreciated it! I think that Ryan would do a good job up front.... and Glyn you know how much I hate him when he plays out wide.

I just dont think lowe would be the answer now mike - if hes here next season (unlikely) and we have some width in i would love to se him given a go but not not - when Lukes back and firing up again, Jodeys going to get a run at last and DD is (bar the Telford game where he scored still) had the best 5 games in a row at the club!!!!
If we are struck down witha few injurys then yes he may feature in the team up front - but unfortunatly for lowe he stuck on the wing for the forceable future

Lowe will never get a chance up front. When Quinn played himself up front instead of Ryan that was the end of his career as a striker here. JQ has already stated publicly he doesn't see him as a striker.
I suspect Lowe will be gone at the end of the season. Another conference club or even a div 3 team might take a chance on him. His scoring record from midfield is rather good.
Why we signed both banim and darby I'll never know. We could have made do with one, probably Darby given JQs obsession with having target men, and given ryan a run out up front then spent the money strenghtening the team elsewhere.

I remember Lowes previous performances upfront, didnt he miss good chances? Kidderminster away? To be fair he was good away at Scunny though.
I thought the consensus after the Telford game was to keep a settled side? we know Luke and Duane are good finishers, definitely better than Ryan even if they have missed a few in recent weeks.
If Ryan was to be given a go upfront it would have to be for the rest of the season, why put him in with the added pressure of 'if you dont score in the next couple of games your out'.

im not saying he isnt any good, I really rate Ryan especially playing off the strikers and i hope we keep him, but i think we have better finishers at the club.
