On Saturday it's the ASFC's yearly jaunt into the sponsors area in the Wakeman stand.
So be prepared for 50 hardy souls singing their hearts for the Town.
Anyone else going to be watching the game from in there? Please join in ;D

Have to admit the ASFC sponsors day is a cracker, especially when their singing and encouragement drowns out the moaning cr@p.

Will probably be "assuming the position" in the happy-clappy Wakeman terraces, so I might try to whisper along, if I don't get frowned at too hard

I've tried chanting on the Wakeman never works, if you try and start a chant its made as welcome as a fart in a lift by some of the miserable whingers. People on the Wakeman end who want to sing should form a union or something S.V.O.T.W.E. Supressed voices of the Wakeman end . I used to stand on the Riverside for a time but got very superstious cos we always seem to lose, then again same could be said of the Wakeman.

No you won't Glyn, there will be a few others as well.
Only ASFC members who have regularly supported the footy card and fundraising events will be in the sponsors area with our numbers made up by people who regularly support our fund raising efforts.
You have only just become involved unfortunately from your viewpoint. I have used my programme notes this week to give a full explanation. No match reports on Saturday, but it is something I wanted to spell out to all. Basically if you put in then you shall take out.

It's a tricky one isn't it...I mean who wants to stand on the Riverside and sing along to 'We hate Bury' type chants or to 'Who the **** are you?' or the 'Come and join us, come and join us, while we run away over here'...not me, that’s for sure...the Riverside really does make me chuckle on occasion, some of the s**te they come out with is nothing more than embarrassing...
If you lads are the type that do sing non stop support for the Town perhaps you should stay in the stands for the remainder of the season...at least people will know where to go if they want to join you and that it'll be non stop support for the Town rather than the utter s**te that we hear from the Riverside...

I seem to be moving between the family stand, wakeman and riverside recently depending who I am with- but I am on my own tomorrow so will go in the Wakeman. Hope the sponsors have a great day and above all we can get back to winning ways. Come on you Blues

Do we have a good omen with the Away Supporters Team sponsoring the game? What's their record like?

Last season we were in there for the 0-0 draw with Swansea, season before the 3-0 win over Halifax

I know it wasn't a moan Glyn. More than anything I was explaining to others why you weren't in the sponsors lounge this time. I didn't want people to think you were some kind of leper now did I? Like I say a full explanation is given in my programme notes because I want people to understand there are many members of ASFC who do a lot to help raise funds for STFC, but that there are also many others who help us along the way with regular contributions and that is what the Sponsors Lounge is reflecting. It is no longer basically just about playing for ASFC, the fundraising arm is a separate issue. Just because you play footy every week doesn't mean you will share the rewards that has been paid for by others.

Cheers Glyn, that would be good. We really must convert you to a Telepost drinker. It's where it all happens you know (apart from tomorrow that is!)
Your goal will be mentioned when I write up that game, I think it will be in the Aldershot programme, if not then the Exeter prog.
