My parents gave a copy at Christmas signed by Alan - it's a very interesting read. Even the detailed description of standing location became fun, where did he stand for the next game?

Its the only book I've ever read in a day. I thought it was well written and fairly enjoyable.
The only critcism I have of it is that it neglected the games which, for me, made the season special. Granted this couldn't really be helped because Mr Manford wasn't at the games.
I felt the away games at Lincoln (Tolley's last minute winner) and the victory at Southend for example were the best parts of the season for the sheer range of emotions - the pain and ecstasy connected with football.
Nevertheless a decent read all the same.

There's loads of references in the book to Blue-and-amber.co.uk - Ty Marshall was given a pre-release copy of the book to read too I believe.
