This afternoon I have received 53 virus filled emails to my postmaster account, one that says it comes from Radcliffe Borough FC, another from Martin Berry..when are they ever going to stop? In total today alone I have cleared over 80!

As a double check I ran a full system scan after my daily norton antivirus update. Tells me it's clean again.

I'm getting a hella lot of "Returned due to suspected virus infection" emails, and they send the bloody attachment back! it's NetSky attached apparently, so I think someone else with my email addy in their book is having it sent out with my email on top, and its bouncing back to me grrrr.

its simple the way it spreads
someone opens an infected mail
the virus then sends itself to everyone in the victims address book
it can also spoof the mails to appear to be sent by someone else
ade plimmer had one from
pilch@blue-and-amber.co.uk a couple of weeks ago thats not in the database on here nor is it an outgoing mail address, just a forwarding one
as long as someone keeps opening them or clears out their system of the virus it wont stop, especially when its someone with most of out email address's in their contacts
i don't get many at all, bt stops a lot i also have the simple feature on outlook checked to prevent users (kids) from opening suspected attachments
if someone with a bit of time spare can find some links to anti virus sites which have a free stand alone scanner to scan for the recent virus's, we can pin a post to the top of the board in hope everyone cleans their system and rids this virus doing the rounds

Good email updates for nowt too, and a virus encyclopaedia to chek your hoaxes in. housecall.trendmicro.com/Also, a good virus list at www.symantec.com (They wrote Norton so must know a bit about viruses, even if they don't know how to write software that doesn't Pee people off!)
