If you can pick one of these positions to stregnthen if we could only get one player in on loan which would it be
New Left Back New Center Back New Right Winger New Left Winger
For me it would have to be a new Winger preferabley right wing Clearly fitzy is not going to get a chance and lowe is useless - a Astion type right winger could change this season around but only if they can cross. The watch the goals fly in.

I would say Left Back.

For all the arguments about the left back position we still have one of the best defences in the league, It has to to a new right winger, we need to be able to turn possession into goals and not let inferior teams off the hook.

I agree.... we seem to have problems creating on the left..
Sedgemore is sometimes limited going forward as he always has to swith the ball to his right foot to " hoof "

Left sided midfield/wide player is the priority for me- Sedge may get found out at left back before the end of the season but generally his all round game is good and he has been part and parcel of a well organised defence in recent games

I'd like cover (especially defensively) and I agree that a creative winger (on loan) may prove useful.
However, I'm still more than happy with the quality of player we have at the Gay Meadow.
It's the tactics, form and desire that I want to see improved.

I couldnt believe some town fans ( only a few ) slagging off cramb after the game on sat.. for me he worked hard all day and showed the type of passion that WILL get us out of this league.
Maybe they just needed a scapegoat, but he was behind 90% of our attackinjg moves.

I mainly agree Welshrew but I think it's a bit harsh saying there is no desire- there seems a lot more than last year and you dont have to be running down every lost cause to show it- Tinson was visibly distraught at the end of Saturday's game

If we had 11 people with Tinson's desire and concentration levels Paul, we'd be just fine.
But for me, not enough have shown that all season long.
In fact, those who have for me would be Howie, Ridler, Tinson, Aiston, Tolley, Edwards and Rodgers.

Moss has had a fine season, although I don't believe he's looked as assured in recent games, or offered enough going forward (which may well be a tactical problem).
But he's certainly not part of the problem.

He's playing first choice at premiership level. Even Quinny's not that persuasive

i'd like a new left back.
stick sedge at right back and then we have moss available for right midfield.

A new left back would be nice but overall i feel a winger either right or left who can cross would be my priority. Would be interesting to know how many goals we have scored from crosses this season. very few i should imagine Apart from Darren Moss's wonder cross a few weeks back when he did both at the same time

We need a left back to give abit of balance to the side, someone like that David Perkins of Morecambe i thought he was impressive in that England non-league side against Italy, or even Andy Holt is he surplus to requirements at Hull cos he did alright when he was on loan last season and he probably has the strenght to cope with the physical direct sides in this league, plus that long throw may come in useful.
