JQ was in the Peterboro Evening Telegraph last night complaining that Fat Barry had done the dirty on him by not offering him the job or letting him know that he was not going to be appointed. He feels that he has been made the scapegoat for Posh getting relegated and boy must they have been an un disciplined bunch cause JQ was moaning about the players too. I have to say I feel some sympathy for JQ because I do believe that he would have got another job maybe even the FRG one or some other conference side at least but then again would you put any trust in fat BF I know i would not and to me it was obvious all he wanted JQ for was to appease the fans and take the heat off himself!!!!

hes not just spitting venom at the posh, he ain't happy with forest green either.
Snubbed Jimmy Quinn has denounced Forest Green's appointment of Gary Owers as manager ahead of him.
The former Northern Ireland striker claims the club's decision to give the job to a comparative rookie without any Conference management experience reflects their "ambition." Quinn, who has steered Swindon Town and Shrewsbury Town to promotion, expected to be handed the job and says he did not find out he had been rejected until the official announcement was made yesterday afternoon.
"I know Gary and he's a nice lad, and this is in no way any disrespect to him," Quinn said. "But Forest Green have obviously gone for the cheaper option and that just shows their ambition doesn't it?
"They've got big aspirations to be back in the Conference in their new stadium and Gary might pull it off - I hope he does. The budget isn't too bad and I wish him all the best. But they have taken a risk.
"I think I was asking for a bit more than the budget, but they told my agent they were happy with me and that they'd ring him at 7.30pm on Tuesday night when they had their board meeting.
"They said they didn't envisage any problems when they it to the meeting and so I was looking forward to it.
"But my agent must have rung the club about 100 times on Tuesday and he was finally told I hadn't got it at 3.30pm yesterday, which is a bit naughty.
"I would have liked a phone call from Trevor Horsley [chairman] to say thanks for coming to the interview at least."
Quinn was in the final two shortlisted from the 30 or so applicants to replace Alan Lewer. He claims the vibes he received from the club led him to start making enquiries to build a squad of his own at The Lawn.
"I already had four or five players lined up," he added.
"The players I'd have got could play at a much higher level, but they would have come to Forest Green because of me - it's a difficult place to get players to go in the first place.
"I'm disappointed because it would have been exciting to rebuild a team and everything was so positive.
"But typical politics within football clubs."

Would Gary Peters have got us out of the Conference in 12 months?
We certainly wouldn't have had Scott Howie in goal that day.....

thought he'd taken swindon down (admittedly he had some good excuses).
It is a shame that he doesnt seem to be able to get a job.
Former international striker of some repute, score shead loads of goals at club level.
Almost Reading up, Kept swindon up one season, before they finally sucombed to relegation and administration. Did a fantastic job at Northwich (a club Forrest Greens size?)
And STFC up.
Not a bad cv.
Maybe they spoke to some of his past employers/players???

I thought Gary Owers had experience at Bath City which is about FGR's level. Mind you as a player he could be a prize t**t - just ask Evo.

He did a good job at Northwich and got Town promoted - so not an absolute failure in his last too jobs.
No doubt he will get a managerial chair somewhere shortly.
