The event we said wouldn't sell out was one at £45 per head for 700 people. I see only 200 tickets for this event so you are talking about something different. My slant on these statistics is B&A proved right.

And some of us said the execs and sponsors would buy them - as they are who it was aimed at - to make it sell out - not the run of the mill fans. Perhaps that bit was forgotton too.

I don't recall anyone knocking the concept - purely that such an event should not be an 'awards ceremony' as it clearly priced out a lot of people. I also note the swipe taken at the fans groups..... "We are dissapointed that we couldnt provide an event on the scale that we initially intended (700 people) it was agreed with supporters groups early on in the planning of the event that it should be held in Shrewsbury which restricted us to a maximum of 200 guests. This subsequently affected the ticket prices to cover the costs of the evening."
