I heard some of the steward's brief, which sounded very thorough and was one reason the gates were late opening. Teyh had to be prepared for each eventuality - ie Barnet or Shrews scores a winner on the final whistle, or at the end of first half extra time, etc. The instructions were - that if Shrewsbury were to win at any of these points, the gates were to be opened, and they were to ensure fans entered the pitch safely, which they did, so that was good stewarding in my opinion. Knowing this, I think I cleared the wall from two rows back! ;D ROLL ON STOKE you goin to the olympics to do the long jump??

More likely they were told not to interfere and try to restrain the fans if they went onto the pitch "en masse". If 10 or 20 had gone it alone, they would most likely have had to do something, but trying to get in the way of 3000 ecstatic bunnies would be a danger to them and the fans. I hung back a little while, then once I saw the Riverside was half-empty, nudged my way carefully to the front of the Wakeman, climbed over, landed almost on the Sky microphone, and joined the throng , singing "QUE SERA" to me girlie over the mobile ;D

The gate in front of where we sit was opened ready for everyone who wanted on, it was a good atmos, at home we rarely have trouble, in the end its safer than trying to hold everyone back!!

I didn't run on the pitch to start with,
I was just so relieved that we had won I was jumping on the terrace for a couple of minutes just celebrating!
I'll chip in a couple of quid towards any fine

I was on the pitch! I didn't run though. So was Mr S&R, and Mitchell complete with oversized Aiston shirt again. We did wait for the gates to be opened too!

The pitch invasion looked mad on the telly, similar to the one at Carlisle after Jimmy Glass scored THAT goal. We're a mad lot arent we

Trust me, no-one will think you an easy game. A play-off final is a toughjt game no matter who you're playing.

I went on. I had no intention to until Darren Moss' penalty hit the back of the net. I'll contribute to the fine if I have to....... ;D In what context did you go on ? Was it that of an over excited fan or as a result of too much pre match alcohol

I went on after a few minutes screaming on the terraces- I think it should be allowed at the last game of the season anyway but in those circumstances it would have been hard to prevent it.

I believe my criticism was confined to the individual who fell over at Morecambe.......
I at least kept vertical at all times, although did temporarily lose my mobile.....
