8700 according to that. No it doesn't. It says the capacity is 8,000, or very near to it. The total capacity of the ground is 8,000 therefore the capacity of the station end and riverside/ wakeman terraces are changed regarding the situation.

It does so Wakeman/Riverside standing 3500 Wakeman seated 1000 Centre Stand seated 1000 Family Stand 700 Away fans seated 500 Away fans standing 2000 Grand total = 8700

However, if the Wakeman/Riverside capacity was 3500 and we didnt give any seats to Barnet then we could basically give town fans 6700 tickets and Barnet 1300 tickets which would be the ideal situation and one which the club should undertake.

"Gay Meadow can hold approx 8,000 spectators when split over the following areas"
The terracing capacities are variable but only if the total capacity is no greater than 8,000.
That's surely straight forward isn't it?

Do the club have to give away any seats to the away fans? If not then STFC should get everything possible, which equates to 6,700 in total.

on the barnet board they reckon they will bring about 700, even if they win the first leg and have a good chance of going through, I'd hate to see lots of space lots of fans locked out. especially if one of them is me.......

As another key point.....
There will be NO CONCESSIONS available for anyone other than BEES members according to their website. That suggests no vouchers, and I would have to pay £10 each for my little ones.
There should equally be NO CONCESSIONS for any Barnet fans at The Meadow.

agree that there fans should pay full price if thats how they treat us.
also agree that they should have a reduced figure overalll but think it would be wrong to take away seating as some people can only go to games if they can sit.

the capacity is made up from the allocations in the different areas in the ground.
so say you only allocate 1500 in the station and 500 in the station seats for the 2000 away allocation.
if you only let in 1000 in the station then you could in theory put another 500 in the riverside/wakeman.

but that won't happen because the extra would'nt be allowed through the turnstiles to make up those numbers

but that won't happen because the extra would'nt be allowed through the turnstiles to make up those numbers All depends on communication I guess TS. If a Steward can run round from the Station end at 10-to kick off and say the Station End is over 1000 below capacity, they can open the wakeman end, let in at least another 500, then review the situation again. I doubt 1000 Barnet fans will turn up 10 mins before kick off!

all turnstiles are computer counted, there is real time flow and counters for all areas of the ground.

You have to give them a mix of seating and terracing. And I think we should give them the normal allocation.
There is a serious problem specifically with season ticket holders in the Wakeman Stand getting in there. Less so the terracing, because the Wakeman Stand is a much more confined area.
The interest in this game from home fans will be massive, and cannot be compared - before comparisons are made - to the FA Cup game against Stafford Rangers.
