Count Basie, Live in Paris. The attack by the brass section is awesome.
Apparently the band were smokin' in more ways than one.

Whits you on line and posting, good sport mate. But you do like to have a go at others about their tastes in music. I'm in the Dorrington Male Voice Chior ;D Well me, i've got School Reunion 80's CD on in the car, quality, absolute quality except for 'Solid' god i hate that record. And on the DVD player the Simple Minds collection, great clothes, great hair cuts and quality music

Absolution by Muse, Permission To Land by The Darkness, EP 1 and EP 2 by Crackout, Manics Holy Bible. Not too many decent albums being released at the moment, I don't think i've bought a new one in nearly 2 months!

Might check out that British Sea Power record - saw them suppporting the strokes last week and like them. In fact, more energy and passion than the headliners on the night.
Also bought the Roddy Frame album purely on the theme tune to Early Doors. Excellent album.
Also listened to John Wesley Harding by Bob Dylan on the way in this morning.

Unkle- Never Never land
It's been trashed by some reviewers and loved by others- it seems a bit of a marmite album.
I think it's quality, there is with some very dark layed tunes taking on there taking it's inspiration from the likes of Massive Attack, DJ Shadow with guest vocals from Ian Brown and I think 3D. If you like the first Unkle album then it's a must, listen to it as an album rather than a collection of induvidual songs and it might be sitting on the CD player for quiet a long time

Absolution is tops - stunning album and amazed they managed to improve on Origin of Symmetry.
You will have heard ALL the riffs before but Jet - 'Get Born' is a great meaty slab of 60's garage rock, guaranteed to make ya smile!

To counter all the "rock"/ pop music on this thread how about Jay Z's last album the "The Black Album" or Timberland and Magoo "Under Contruction Part 2"
"Speakerboxx/the love below" by Outkast is also quality hip/hop
