with Skybet for us to get promoted, anyone find any better odds??
Personally I think they are reasonable odds even though I reckon we'll do well to finish top half.
One thing I'm confident of is we'll be full of enthusiasm with hopefully have a good team spirit which I've always thought counts for alot.
Also funny old game football........how many would have thought we'd just miss out on the play-offs after The Great Escape Season, certainly not me.
Just talked myself into it I'm on 20/1 it is............

I know GP doesn't want us to raise the bar too high, but I well remember 1978/9, when we were the bookies favourites to be relegated from the old Division 3. We had a dreadful start, playing at home in the League Cup in front of 2400 against a poor Stockport side, and losing the two-leg tie on aggregate. We then set out on a good run of results, with the team growing in confidence, and eventually ended the season clinching the title in front of 14400 ecstatic Gay Meadow fans, against Exeter, on a balmy Thursday evening in May. I vowed that night that whenever the bookies made us favourites for the drop, I would back us to go up. Thus, I have had a token fiver each way, at 66/1, and now pray that history repeats itself.

Bookies Handicap Coupons.
Wait a couple of weeks with your fivers, the bookies give out odds (approx.16/1) the field for a handicap. As the Mighty Shrews are complete outsiders on most lists we will have about a 35 - 40 point headstart on the favourites. NOW THIS IS WORTH £5 OF ANYONES MONEY

It’s a big ask that, I can't see us getting promoted or too close to the top of the table. Has anyone looked at ShrewsBet yet, see what season specials they may have on the Town? I reckon a top 10 finish would still see decent odds as I don't think anyone is expecting too much from us this season and most have us down to struggle once again...
