I read somewhere that he had moved back to Norfolk and was being courted by 3 league teams reasonably local to that area - Peterborough and Colchester were 2 of them and it seems that Boston maybe the 3rd.

Wages shouldn't be a problem for Boston seeing as they are allegedly paying Joachim £4000 a week.

Rumour has it Joachim's on £3,000 a week plus they are renting a house for him in Boston. I can't imagine Noel Whelan is too cheap either. And the damage to their pitch set them back £25,000 too. Money must be coming from an outside investor because gates of 2,500 surely can't sustain those sotr of wages!

That must be one heck of a budget to be no where near 60% of. We know the Macc's are being funded to the hilt but who else in this league is that well of now?

Average league gates for Boston last season 2053, take this as a starting point for the coming season, say an average of £12 per head = £24600pw income. The club can spend 60% on players wages, (think that is correct) approx K14 per week, 20 players in squad, averages about £700 pw for each player. If as suggested JJ is on 3k it brings the average for the rest of the squad to approx £580 pw, also suggested other players on higher wages than average so on these very rough estimates / guesswork either considerable funding is needed from elsewhere or crowds will have to increase considerably.

if there are rules on the wage cap thing, why isn't this being adhered to and looked at by the league?

can get by that with the directors making a capital investment (there is a proper word for this) that is turned into share capital..
so if a director wants to drop a few hundred thousand in then they can, it just gets a bit dodgy if they want it back and the club will probably fold very quickly..
