President Chirac was heard to remark about the British that you cannot trust a nation that has such terrible food. Apart from 'French' and 'trust', never having appeared in the same sentence, it is hilarious that he said it to the leaders of Germany and Russia - gastronomic deserts both.

I thought Chirac was the original 'Crazy Frog'.

There are few reasons i can think of not to intigrate further with europe, chirac however is one of them. He realy is a bit of a prick, along with the german leader schroeder. Sadly two of the most influential people in the eu. Laughed my todger off when france voted non.

I doubt Schroeder will be re-elected, as For Chirac, he is doing a fine job of making an even bigger fool of himself

Chicac is a corrupt fool and one of the main reasons why closer integration will never happen.
Blair has gone up 1000% in my estimation for trying to get rid of the C A P which is doing just as much to keep Africa poor as the massive debt which is about to be lifted.

Chirac will most likely be out by 2007.
Schroeder made yet another blunder, which instead of working has again rasied the lack of confidence in his leadership. He'll probably be gone within the next year.

Never been a big fan of Blair but I think he's playing a blinder over the whole C A P / rebate issue.
Q. Why are the streets of Paris lined with trees?
A. So that the German army can march in the shade!

We all enjoy the banter with the French, but it's a lovely country and (outside of Paris) the people are OK.
One reason they voted non was that they hate the likes of Chirac and his corrupt elite as much as we do.

A report on Ceefax today said Chirac had been overheard saying that all Britain had done for Europe was to give it BSE.

I am currently working with a french team and they are really okay, they are totally embarrassed by chirac and have spent the day apologising for having such a dick for a president, however they have also said that the next guy to get the job is a nightmare, very left wing and completely radical, and could potentailly be more trouble than this comedian they currently have. As for Chirac they think he is a baffoon, completely corrupt and a disgrace. He is quoted as saying "how can we trust a nation that has such bad food".. errrr do we eat frogs legs and snails? I rest my case.
