It might be good to have a poll- but there's too many of them. I know a few of you have already told us- but which of the bands or singers really made your day yesterday? Predictably! I liked The Who, Macca, U2, Sting, Pink Floyd Slightly less predictably I liked Coldplay - and especially with Richard Ashcroft. Even less predictably - I like Joss Stone's powerful soul-singer voice. And Dido, actually- I like "White Flag"- not a strong voice at times, but melodic- and she writes her songs, doesn't she? -and they're good. I actually really like Keane. Tom Chaplin has a lovely voice, the songs are haunting and melodic. (He's so unlike a rock star!!! The sort of cute chubby face that Mums WOULD like!!! I bet his looks belie him though- it's always the innocent looking ones!!! )

Keane were brilliant. Bedshaped is one of my favourite songs of all time. Velvet Revolver were very good. Pink Floyd sounded very good. I'd only ever heard one of their tracks before that performance so I might have to go out and buy one of their albums and give it a try! Coldplay were good. The Killers were good, but only had one track which i'm not happy about. Everybody else had 2/3! U2 sounded very good. Robbie was great live as usual. I don't usually go in for his music but he does put on a great show.
Accross the pond the Kaiser Chiefs were excellent in Philladephia, as were the Black Eyed Peas.
All in all a very good day of music!

You know I would Say it but Snoop went down well at the even Live, really got some pops from the crowd, others that went down well were Annie Lenox, Dido, U2, Robbie was the best for crowd noise and Razorlight went down a storm!! Peter Kay was really funny withthe Amerilo thing and his argument with one of the organisers!!!

When they said 80% of the world were watching, they were telling us that the other 20% included a number of 3rd world countries without access to technology, and the kids at my school, who are absolutely clueless about the whole thing. They've complained the bands were too old, and I quote 'Who listens to U2?'

Talking of Peter Kay..............who's clever idea was it at the bbc to go from Peter Kay 'filling' before The Who were ready, to George bloody Michael being interviewed by Jo Willey or what ever her name is. Asking the same dull questions she'd asked everyone else all day .....where were you 20 years ago? how does it feel today? it's a really important cause isn't it? Then goes on to ask him what he's up to at the moment! WHO CARES ! One of Britain’s greatest comics is adlibbing for his life on the screen behind you and all you can do is give ill deserved publicity to someone who's been living out of the country for the last God knows how many years.
Sorry about that, but I didn't get any sympathy from my family during or since my original rant on the night.
I'll get me pass

I can confirm that the PriceMeister is a fan of Mariah....confirmed by text by his better half. As for the gig, when those t**ts walked onstage dressed as the beatles during Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts, I almost switched off. Some decent bits during the day though.

The Who, the Floyd and Macca pure genius.
Robbie Williams - awful, heard him sing live before and was quite impressed but he was awful on Saturday. Had me cringing with those comedy impressions.
Madonna was rubbish even with a song as good as Like a Prayer.
Killers should have had more than one song.
Saw the Kaiser Chiefs - excellent stuff.

Went interactive on the BBC,Roxy Music and the Brilliant A-HAin Berlin, the latter having the problem of Morten not being able to hear himself. Will Smith proved a great host, rallied the crowd and did a great set.Annie Lennox showed two sides,Why was a bit underplayed and Sweet Dreams was brilliant.Scissor Sisters proved quality live,The Who everything a great band should be and i thiught Razorlight sounded great, but how i missed Freddie and Queen if they had of been able to play, what a difference the early atmosphere would of been. One sad thing as well as a leading figue in African music Peter Gabrieal bid not do anything in Cornwall.

I was out Saturday and will wait for the DVD, however I've just listened to the African artists from the Eden Project on Radio 3 and have decided that Tinari Wen are the best band in the world.

He was by far the worst of what I saw
Talentless tit - He gives Ian Brown a good run for his money

I've defended Pete Doherty so many times in the past but now on the evidence of Live 8 and Glasto, I can do so no more, such a sad waste of talent, he just doesn't care anymore. And that wench Kate Moss isn't helping much either. I think Jonny Borrell (Razorlight frontman) is more than ready to fulfill on the promise that Pete once showed, Razorlight sounded excellent at both Live 8 and Glasto.
Also enjoyed Macca, Coldplay, Stereophonics, Muse (from Paris) and Kaiser Chiefs.
Really struggled with REM, and I can't stand Velvet Revolver either.
