Is it just me or does anyone else think the town should start playin music when we score, a la middlesbrough(pigbag), crystal palace (glad all over) etc. Don't know if there are any league rules on this, but it would help us get the meadow/new meadow (eventually!) rockin! Any song suggestions?!! :

I think a poll might be a good idea, I would vote yes, but I know there are quite a few who would hate the idea

Dont get me started on this? I/we think its a great idea, but too many people either dont like it or see it as some American thing.
Unbelievable by EMF would be my choice

Me miserable? Never Seriously though, I don't think the sound of a crowd going mental can be topped.

I love the sound of the crowd going mental when we score, it's such a buzz and really gets the hairs of the back of the neck standing.
It would be ruined beyond belief by some crap music being blasted out, I couldn't care less if a few little kids would like it or not.

Music when a team score smacks to me of got no atmosphere at the ground so we need to create some.
Big no thanks from me.

I think its a good idea but a bad idea! I would personally love it being a bit of a kid myself but then I can see where people are coming from with ruining the atmosphere!

I think we should come out to Mars- Bringer of War from The Planets suite by Gustav Holst. Would have to start it a couple of minutes before they came out to get the full effect though. Anyone who knows the music will understand!
Goal music? How about the chorus of "I'm a believer" by the Monkees?

Whenever I come across Song 2 by Blur these days I automatically think we have conceded a goal ;D Wouldnt really like the idea, what I would like tho is for the 'Pot Noodle Horn' fanfare to blow out over the tannoy before every Town corner

We could also play " That don't impress me much" by Shania Twain every time the opposition score! - just for a laugh.

NO a million times. however, i fear a certain inevitability about this. unfortunately it seems to be a growing trend if there was anything that would put me off coming to the meadow it would be goal music. and i'm not even an 'oldie' (is 25 old?).

I hate music after a goal.
The only slight deviation in this line of thought is Bolton who started playing show me the way to Amarillo is homage to Peter Kay which I thought was a nice touch
The only song that ever seems to get the crowd actually going is the one they play at Norwich, a summer of 97/98 Ibiza samba style thing
The only sport to ever successfully use music for spectators is Ice Hockey

Guess I'm showing my age here but if you're going to play music when a goal is scored then it has to be something that everybody (all ages) can relate to - How about Kool & The Gang and Celebrate. A band that oozes party atmosphere and has no political undertones.
There's a party going on right here A celebration to last throughout the year......
Celebrate good times, come on

PLEASE GOD NOOOOOOO Whats wrong with the sound of the crowd spontaneously celebrating. I dont want to hear some cheesy tune. PA systems at larger grounds are already too much. Before the England V N Ireland game i wanted to enjoy the atmosphere but all i heard was music. It was more like a concert at a football match. This subject is one of my biggest fears regarding the move to the New Meadow.

NO, NO, NO, NO.
The very idea is an abomination What will you want next, players entering the field through a Star in Their Eyes type smoke screen, time outs, cheer leaders running up and down the touchline all through the match.
Emigrate to the states if thats what you want or get along to Old Trafford, i'm sure it won't be long.
