Plenty of other things to do.
Today I've been to the gym, had a game of squash followed by a round of golf.
Tomorrow it'll be a kick about, a round of golf and the cinema in the evening.
I do miss footy - don't get me wrong, but it's blumin nice to have some weekends away from it now and again

I think this is the first summer where I have really enjoyed having time off from football. Today has been a decent day, a good cricket match beteen England and the Auzzies, watched some Live 8, watches some Wimbledon, watched some F1 and it hasn't cost me any cash.

Spent the morning doing some very theraputic gardening. Late afternoon went to a decent beer festival and watched some sport. Unfortunately The Ghost and Bellvueshrew turned up. Enjoy the summer Steve, the footie season will be around soon enough.

well i seem to be spending a lot of time working... And working damn hard at 2.30pm today you were. I noted you were opting for the standing up technique however and opted for a different lane instead as I do not want a fellow B&A user getting an insight into my shopping habits.

I have absolutely loved having weekends to myself again
My garden is now clear, and I've spent some decent time with my lady as well

Can one possibly be bored during the cricket season? What a shame the demands of SKY telly mean the tests aren't on yet. In a proper summer we'd be anticipating the third test of a six match Ashes rubber about now. England 1-0 up after a win in front of the partisan Edgbaston crowd followed by a rain-affected draw at Lords. Shame the bloody football starts again in six weeks

You have a point. The Ashes is a great event and this is the first time in a decade of me watching cricket that we have a chance of winning. But unfortunately it's going to clash with the start of footie season.

Ive spent about the last 6 weekends, and even some nights after work building an outside entertainment area, with decking, new fencing, trellis, lighting, and to top it all, a hot tub. It now looks great, and the hot tub is an excellent place to chill out with a beer most evenings
