Just been watching Gary Linnaker interviewing Jose Mourinho.
It was all interesting- but one thing really struck me-
It was the commentator was talking about how Mourinho likes young hungry players who play for a team.... the implication being that they care more about playing for each other and the team than they do about being big stars themselves.
It seemed to echo something said on this board about "young hungry players," in OUR team, next season.
Maybe G.P's philosophy is similar to that of Mourinho. He doesn't want the "crowd pleasers"- just young players who care about the team winning, above all- and play AS a team, for each other- and to win.

certainly both managers display that self belief and arrogance that warms the hearts of the home fans and makes the away fans hate them
