There is a post on the Stoke rivals board suggesting Denny has signed for the Town with a 50% sell on clause.

Wouldn't mind having either of those players down the meadow. Especcially greenacre as a replacement for luke.

I can;t see Greenacre dropping down this far
having said that, we were offering Luke a shedload so may have one decent wage free

Greenacre next season would be a good signing, but I can't see Peter ssigning him when he's said he's going for younger, cheaper players.

27 28?
Greenacre never made the upward adjustment of two divisions. So he may drop.

GP said he could 3 young strikers for what he was paying Luke - that would not be the case if he was signing Greenacre

An unknown quantity even at third division level. We won't even be looking at him.

I don't think someone who has played over 200 games and scored 70+ goals is an unknown quantity.
doubt whether he would be interested in us though

I think his 58 goals in 133 first team starts and two sub appearances for Mansfield show he can score in the lower divisions, and he may feel more comfortable to be back in the 2nd as every striker wants goals. Sticking point would be money. He is still in his late twenties and wherever he goes the club needs to be sold to him as well as the salary package. He is on a free so thats a start. However I suspect he will more likely go to someone like Hartlepool or Sc***horpe as he hails from Wakefield and geographically will be happier to be up there.
