One of the best things about football is that the team who deserves to doesn't necessarily win.

His body language as he prepared to take the kick was poor.
Turning quickly and shooting without looking at the goal is never a great preparation IMO!

i dont think thats a good thing It's a very good thing. The uncertainty makes football what it is. You never know what might happen.

up/down good/bad hired/fired Yin/Yang
Predictability would make life boring.
Utd may have deserved to win, but they didn't - life isn't fair

If I could have picked a player from the Man U penalty takers to miss, It would have been Scholes.

I take it the "Paul Scholes - he scores goal" song will not reverberate around Salford Docks for a while Just one question, assuming it had got to 5 each, if you were Fergie, what number penalty would you have nominated "the best centre half in the world" to take

I wondered how long it would take you to surface Paul Scholes owes United fans nothing. Pure footballing genius.

What goes around comes around.
Never forgiven Man Utd for starting us on the slippery slope by being one of the prime instigators of the rule denying the away side a share of the gate receipts.
The subsequent tinkering with the rules regarding replays has also been enthusiastically welcomed by them, as no doubt was the change preventing the F.A. Cup Final from even going to a replay.
Well now they can have few complaints!
