Found an old document which contains pen-pictures of most of a Salop team. I think it was prepared for an opposition fan for an away game. Given that they played together how many can you name?
1 Good if not given time to think. Generally causes some excitement at backpasses. Cannot punch outside penalty area
2 Neat & tidy. Local boy so receives undeserved stick
3 Club captain. Leads by example. Best player this season. Lacks a yard of pace
4 Cultured (relatively) Didn't make the grade at Southampton but has learnt enough that he occasionally is one move ahead of the rest of the team
5 Converted winger. Surprisingly effective winning more balls in the air than he should but will be caught out of position badly once or twice in a game
6 Greatest asset used to be his pace. Only played 20 games in the last 2 seasons while at Preston and it shows. Not match fit yet
7 Playmaker. Tackles well, holds the ball well and has vision. May be lacking fitness after bout of flu
8 Ball winner equivalent of Bremner/Batty. Likes to shoot from outside the area, with on-target success rate of about 1 in 6.
9 Old fashioned winger. Avoids tackling and getting clothes dirty. Can be unstoppable but not consistent enough for greater things

From WelshShrews answers I would swap Berkley and Currie around and add Mark Taylor as the missing player?

LEave Berkley where he is.
Mark Taylor is right though.
I'm wrong on Darren Currie - maybe Nathan Blamey?

Is no. 3 Darren Tinson?
And no. 5 - a random guess - Gareth Hanmer?

Harmerhillshrew first past the post. Yet again the Welsh do all the hard work only to be robbed at the final hurdle

Yet again the Welsh do all the hard work only to be robbed at the final hurdle I have only just come in at 8.30pm and faced 3 pages to catch up on. I could see them all straight away to be honest. Mark Dempsey was easy, but you may not be quite old enough to remember him Pete.

Andy, And I certainly remember Mr Dempsey, first game we dragged my younger brother Dave along to Mark hoofed the ball clear into the crowd and nearly poor Daves head off
