Been away at the caravan last w/end and did a bit of surfing, however Mrs TS said to me whist sucking her lolly on perranporth high street, whatever happened to those jokes that used to appear on the stick once you finished ? Anyhows thats beside the point What does everyone else enjoy about the British seaside resorts, or not enjoy?

I really didn't enjoy my trip to the Welsh seaside. The 5 mile walk from the sand to the sea wasn't very nice. And then you put a foot into the water and it covers you up to your ankle; next foot in and you're drowning......

Oh, and also..... Why do british seaside resorts have loads of seagulls walking about with that "i'm gonna conquer the world" face on them? And why does the air smell of fish and chips? All of this was in a Welsh seaside town that I can't remember the name of. It had about 10 L's, half a dozen W's and quite a few Y's

The Donkey Darby Derby game where you move the "horses" by rolling the ball in the hole.
Arcades with the Adams Family Pinball (basic first then gold card upgrade).
Rock pools.

Tea shops, big fry ups on the pier, donkey rides, amusement arcades, ice cream cones, the fresh air, giant inflatables Some of the best times of my life have come at the seaside, Blackpool, Brighton......Llandudno and Rhyl will remain the favourites though for very differing reasons

nothing can beat the b+a trip(s) to rhyl (are we playing there again this preseason?) what a laugh. Glyn and Ant getting serious as the 5p fruit machines chew through their change, beach football, pubs, geof, crap football, banter

The seaside is quality. I love everything about a day there.
Southport is ace, though the beach isn't the nicest, it's a decent day out.

i remember i was never too fond of all the bloody jellyfish at aberdyfi and barmouth, which seemed to be the only places my parents us to the beach when i was young. 2 1/2 hrs in a hot car from shrewsbury, doors open and all the kids pour off down to the water only to come running back up again right away and not so much as get a foot wet all day. it's enough to make you wish you didn't live in shropshire...

Having just returned from the welsh coast there are numerous reasons why the coast is ace but they all escape me Honestly I have to have my pilgrammige every year to the coast, I even stayed down there for a few months For me it's the beach parties, the football on the sands, the slower way of life- the ability to do nothing and to get p**sed in a different place
