I was travelling at around 5 o'clock on the last day of the League season near Mansfield and the local radio were interviewing Palmer. I've never heard a 'manager' slag off as many of his own players as he did in such a short space of time. I was cringing at some of the put downs. Guaranteed to create dressing room harmony To think we were close to having that buffoon as our own.

It was mainly the ones that had been shown the door he was slagging off - shows what he knows about football him and peters had almost identical records as managers this season.

We wwere a struggling side - Mans.field were pushing for the play offs most of the season.
Therefore Peters did a much better job overall
