Watched it this afternoon at my daughter's. Yes -really sad. I like Harry Redknapp. I think he over too late to stop the rot, really.

At the end of the day, they weren't good enough this year.

I laughed until i cried and then i laughed again!!!
Sorry, born in Winchester and Portsmouth were the first team i ever saw (not that i can remember it) so therefore found yesterday somewhat enjoyable (well from the 60th minute or so onwards anyway), sorry again ;D

Southhampton are the Carlisle of the Premiership, for so long they have narrowly avoided the drop, but eventually they had to go.

Bit harsh on the the saints, they did brilliantly to avoid the drop in previous seasons with a maximum gate of 15,000 at the dell.
However have to say Lowe had it coming, he should have stuck by Sturruck (how many games did Beatie play for saints before he was sold this season?)
Instead he sacked him, didnt have a plan (much like the west ham board) and appointed from within as a panic measure. Unfortunatly for the saints it went wrong a lot quicker than it did at west ham.
Oh and Harry Redknapp, the man is not a legend, he's a bit of a crook by all accounts.
