He's not going to be in too much of a rush to leave is he? No-one else is going to be daft enough to pay his wages for a faltering striker with potentially career threatening injuries. So STFC may as well pay him off and regard his signing as an expensive lesson in not panic buying. Lets get another "Langmead" if necessary a raw 19 year old-he can only get better and DD will only get worse.

Not a big fan of Darby but I was 12 months ago today he was a bloody hero.
Don't think he has a future here & yes we need him off the wage bill if he's not playing.

Does this thread have a serious point?
DD is injured and still under contract. To say get him "out" is a bit meaningless, unless someone knows of a way to do this without paying him off? We can't sell him because he's crocked, he's unlikely to just leave - why should he? And the club has a duty of care, to look after its injured players (Ben Smith?).
I am sure Duane would love to be fully fit and ready to compete for his place - threads like this won't exactly boost his morale.

Langmead is a much better player then Darby. And unlike DD you will get more then 5 games a season out of KL KL (I imagine) will be on small wages KL has 10+ years to improve, DD should put us all out of our misery and retire

To be fair Duane has a better goals per game ratio this season

If Darbs has osteoporosis as GP was trying to say at the meeting then his future might not take too long to sort, if its treatable with injections and physio then he could be ready for the new season if not then he will be medicaly retired which is probably the more likely if it is osteoporosis.
