Every now and again I seem to spot a Salop fan in a random place. Today it was in Banbury town centre and the lad was wearing plenty of Salop gear, nice one Where's the most random place you've seen a Town fan? In front of the Statue of Liberty me and my dad were wearing our town tops for a photo and a family from Minsterley came and talked to us excitedly, amazed at salop fans meeting there and then

Went to Wembley to see England v Luxemburg when there was standing. Picked a gate at random, saw a gap on the terrace and sat down as it was hour before kick off.
Couple came and stood next to me I looked up and it was someone I stood next to at the Meadow.
Also on the beach at Weymouth kid wearing a scrabble egg shirt. Have regularly seen his dad at games since.

When driving a van for a backpacker's hostel in Wellington New Zealand, picked up guy and his Dutch girlfiiend, the guy turned out to be Phil Priest's brother in Law. He started watching the town when Priest played for Salop in the 80s, and followed them ever since. Went out for a few beers with him and his girlfriend, talking Salop all night, much to his football hating girlfriend's disdain

I was stood on the highest point of the Black Mountains wearing a Town hat when a guy walked out of the mist and told me he watched Salop home and away. I also got p**sed at Hay Literary Festival with a bloke who recognised my Wembley T-shirt.

Not in a random place- but a woman came up to me at the Notts county match, on April 23rd. How she recognised me I don't know, because she went to the same school as me, in Market Drayton, when we were 11, and I haven't seen her since! Turns out that she and her husband now live in Newcastle- U-Lyme, but are Town fans and have season tickets!

Strange thing is, that when you talk to a lot of people, especially the older guys, loads of em say they follow the Town, but hardly any go to watch any more. Speaks volumes really.

Any idea of his name? There aren't that many of us - or are there? Didnt think to ask his name , bit shocked in honesty. Young lad, perhaps late 20s, quite stocky, musey light brown hair.
