As a Manchester United supporter that goes to OT rather than sit at home with Soccer Saturday on, a question if you do not mind. Will you still go

As I have just posted on another thread, I first went in 1960. How can I stop supporting my team, whoever 'controls' it. I think it's an awful situation, and genuinly subscribe to the view that 'go it alone' TV rights will follow, much to the detriment of many other clubs and the game as a whole. However, it's my team and nothing can alter the way I feel about it. Maybe on Saturdays when I can't get an away ticket, I can alternate between AFC United and Shrewsbury Unless, of course the likes of certain posters don't consider me worthy, being a fan of manure

So you'd rather be an MK Don than an AFC Wimbeldon fan? Isn't it a different situation though? Wimbledon ceased to be Wimbledon the second they moved 45 miles north.

He's been much 'softer' towards us recently, and I think I even promised him a pint when he was particularly reasonable on one occasion, and I always honour my promises, particularly with regard to ale. I did come twice this season, Mansfield and Camebridge, so I'm sure I'll make it down sometime next year.

HH how bad was mansfield then?
I've only 7 games this season (worst since I started in 71) and in 6 of those we managed nil and I haven't seen us score since august. In fact, I think we've had perhaps two efforts on goal in my last three games.
For the record I thought Macc at home was one of the dullest games of all time (a good way to celebrate my 40th birthday)

I think Yeovil at home was one of the worst, purely for throwing the game away in one tactical masterstroke.

Im much milder towards United now, I can even say their name without wanting to call their Scottish manager something childish ;D Have to say this, I hope this doesnt stop United being the force they are and have been. The likes of Scholes, Beckham, Giggs, Schmiechal etc have been a credit to the game

HH how bad was mansfield then? Bad enough to make my top 3, for what that is worth I have only made about half the home games this season.

my last four homes games were wycombe, macc, cambridge and sc***horpe - the last three would all rate a mention in my book of dullest town games ever. wycombe I've just blanked out and I can vaguely remember Rushden at home being spectactularly ordinary.
possibly one of our least exciting seasons ever? Not that I'm trying to discourage Islay from coming to the home of football.

With the takeover situation, a manager maybe past his best, the nucleus of the side getting on a bit and 'southern' imposters emerging, our whole expectations may need to be adjusted. There are some positives though. Surely, when we have a few trophyless years and just get the odd UEFA Cup quualification, we won't all be accused of being 'Glory Hunters' - or will we? I guess Windsorshrew and his ilk will still be around

The games above were dull agreed but still so much more entertaining than many of our victories in the Conference last year - just how crap was the standard in that league?

Will ferguson stay if a takeover goes ahead?
Didn't he come out and say something against a takeover earlier in the season?
Personally I feel he may not be the manager in the summer

Whereas last year I got more annoyed because the team in some games underperformed badly e.g. leigh away. Mind you I still can't remember going to three home games in a row where we've created virtually nothing though.

Personally I feel he may not be the manager in the summer I would guess that he would stay, because whatever happens at Cardiff, this will be considered to be a poor season. Will he want to leave as a 'failure' or give it one more go? Who really knows.
