Macguire, Hacket & micky Brown the best ones for me. But what about Willie Norton? & Was he the last Town player to have a Tash?

Well Done JP! I couldn't think of Paul Tester's name - driving me mad. If I recall he was only any good when he came back from a loan spell at Hereford. Hacket was class - I remember one of his goals being on the intro for Grandstand one season. If we are going back that far, anyone remember Tim Steele - mazey dribbler but to this day not sure that he ever got a cross in - lucky there was a wall at the wakeman end otherwise he would have been over the river most games.
Does Vic qualify as a winger?

Minto the version of I heard about Tim Steele - was that if there wasn't a wall at the wakeman end he'd end up running up wyle cop.
Hackett was a decent winger but he used to get loads of stick form the riverside. I remember one guy behind me at Plymouth away game shouting at get him off he's crap after about 15 seconds of the game. Anyone rember a class goal he scored against Portsmouth I think. Maclaren picked him out with a 50 yeard pass and he just down the wing cut inside and scored great box to box in about 5 seconds.

remember steele being entertaining and predictably unpredictable. most of our wingers, in my memory, seem to have been unable to cross the ball with any accuracy. a coupla people have mentioned currie. well, i don't remember him as being that popular when he was here - ? in retrospect we can see him now as being a bit of class that got away. wasn't it currie who i remember seeing being sent off at oxford seconds after coming on for foul and abusive language. - ?

are you all blind?! the poor guy has restricted the poll to THE LAST 10 YEARS. if you want to hark on about older players then start another thread...
for me it's austin. he even bleached his hair roundabout the same time that robbie williams did. and the way he ran made his legs look like they were made of spaghetti.

The combination of Dave Roberts and Alan Groves with Alf Wood at centre forward still lives in the memory! Indeed it does
