Thanks to all those released, will be a bit strange without some of those faces on match days, but its going to be exciting waiting for all the new signings

I'd echo that and GP's comments on Shrewsweb. Also - congratulations to Gavin Cadwallader too. He's a top young man who works hard and has now earned himself a shot at pro footie. Well done!!

disappointed that tinson and howie will be leaving. would have def offered tinson another year. his appearance and disciplinary record are superb, i would imagine he averages 40+ games a season through his pro career and can't recall him being suspended whilst playing for us. howie is 33 and prob reaching the peak of his career. i understand economics will have played a part and realise hart has enormous potential.

Can't believe Whitehead has gone thought he would get at least another year And as for Tinno Whitehead has been offered a new contract.

Can't believe Whitehead has gone thought he would get at least another year And as for Tinno Whitehead has been offered one as i read it and Tinno has been released. I am in total agreement with all of this. Its sad yes but theres no room for sentimentaility in football. Gary is paid to make tough decsions like this and Im glad he's not bottled it like other managers previously have. Good luck to all those relased and thanks for your efforts.

has all summer to get fit.. if GP and MW can revive him like Trevor Challis then roll on next season
... we are in desperate need of a john mcginlay type goal poacher... A fit DD fills that role Id say

A fit DD fills that role Id say No chance, he's injury prone and it's only going to get worse as he gets older. I really hope I'm wrong, but I very much doubt it.

Names are pretty much in line with speculation on this board over the last few weeks.
Agree with all apart from Tinno and I would have thought another 12 months would not have broken the bank given Cowans inexperience and Walton's fitness issues.
The rest with the exception of Scott Howie are likely to go down a league rather than stay in Div 2
Best wishes to them all and I look forward to keeping an eye on the new arrivals.
