Liverpool at home, the Kop behind them attack Chelsea from the start. The roar of the the scouse fans as Liverpool seek an advantage, the one goal...i just feel thats the way Chelsea have played it from the first leg not to concead the away goal.Chelsea scoring at any point might make the difference.

Yes, Chelsea did seem to be playing with defence in mind in the first leg. I think they will score tonight but can't see them conceeding 2.

If that goal hadn't have been given they would be playing all night. Neither team have come remotely close to scoring since. It's been a very disappointing game.

Apart from Gudjonsen missing in the 96th minute where was the drama? Chelsea didn't come close to scoring all night, and Liverpool didn't do a great deal either. The only goal of the evening probably didn't even cross the line. The atmosphere looked absolutely awesome there this evening. I havn't seen an all seated ground go so mental at the full time whistle before. Perhaps with Chelseas millions they will try buying some strikers in the summer and not the carthorses they currently have. Can't wait for the final now, though I suspect Everton fans might be worrying just a little bit more

Not worrying at all, the dirty half of Liverpool will lose in the final The goal wasn't a goal, Drogba is a donkey, Robben on too late.

The intruders were on the pitch for around 3 minutes, and there were at least 4 substitutions made. The physios were on the pitch a couple of times too so 6 minutes was about right.

Errr. What's going on here? Isn't this a Shrews messageboard and aren't we Shrewsbury fans. Stuff any other team, i watched with interest, weren't bothered who won. I hate it when people support a premier team from far away just to give them the feel good factor, i grew out of that when i was at school the day my dad me down the meadow for the first time. Nothing else counts

Just a nickname laddy, just a nickname I know, but the best comeback I could snap with Anyways, my gran and her family on mum's side were Merseyside Blues, so I'm sticking with it. Gets a bit messy in FA cup ties though

What happened to him?!

Its not such a major thing here but you feel you could go to a Shrews messageboard to get away from it, you'd think. Away from when at work, when a work colleague whether it be Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool or even Aston Villa suggests 'What have Shrewsbury ever won?' Oooo i cringe, i could easily say oh ok then i think i may support Real Madrid! Cough cough, what have Liverpool, Chelsea etc ever won. Arghhh I'm proud to support STFC and will ignore these short sighted idiots. And i'm off to the fridge to grab myself another lager. No offence like

Another one going for drama Suppose you could call Eastenders a drama without quality. Then there is Hollyoaks............ plenty of quality.

But, hey, it didn't matter anyway.

so the ref either gives the goal or he sends off the goal keeper and awards a penalty in the 3rd minute

Away from when at work, when a work colleague whether it be Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool or even Aston Villa suggests 'What have Shrewsbury ever won?' There seems to be a good feeling amongst a certain sector at work today. And the gloating has started

No great fan of Liverpool's but was (predictably!) happy to see them go through last night.
Mourinho can't complain about Liverpool defending for most of the game. They were trying to get forward, but kept conceding possession meaning that they spent most of the last hour camped in their own half. And would you want your team to throw caution to the wind when conceding a goal would probably mean going out in the semis of the Champion's league? The had a job to do - they did it.
What would Mourinho's Porto have done had they got a 0-0 draw away at Milan and then gone 1-0 at home in the 2nd leg? They'd have defended, they'd have dived and they'd have wasted as much time as possible.
Chelsea patently have a better team than Liverpool, but Benitez got his tactics spot on, they defended magnificently and Chelsea resorted to humping the ball up front and even bringing on Huth to play up front - all of which smacked of desperation.
When it's suited them Chelsea have played cautiously this season, so it's hypocritical of Mourinho to complain about last night or the first leg. Just as it's hypocritical when he complains about diving (did anyone see the UEFA cup final against Celtic? He even had the cheek to moan about Deco diving for Barca when he encouraged him to do the same for Porto!)
Nope, last night was one of those great Anfield nights. Defended heroically and the crowd were (once again) fantastic. Didn't hear Chelsea all night.
Not expecting Liverpool to get anything from the final, but I hope they do.

I hope Liverpool win it and go straight to the group stages of next seasons competition with Arsenal and Manure having to play in the qualifying rounds.

Indeed Mr White the full backs were tight on Cole and Gudjonsson,
Drogbas movement and first touch was poor, allowing the centre backs to stand firm. Hamman and Biscan were allowed to act as a screen to help protect the back four.
All in all spot on, and revented chelsea getting a strangle hold of the midfield and using their width to damage Liverpool.
