... i think we'd be lucky, why do you think GP is biggin' up joe hart so much does he truly believe this kid could play for england one day....... this stinks of minds games just tring to work out why? When was the last time a player left League two for 1 million pounds? I also think he would leave before he ever reached that sort of value! news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/shrewsbury/4489351.stm

It's not as if Gary Peters has got a decent record at bringing through youngsters before they move onto bigger and better things, is it? Gary knows the players now and how to man manage them.

I have faith in the great GP but i just find this situation a little strange, i mean could it be that he is trying to sign up Howie on the cheap, whilst at the same time giving Hart a big boost at the end of the season, to make him put extra effort in during the close season?
He does seem to have his own way of doing things it's just i have never heardsuch a vocal shrews manager and the more vocal the more likely he says something which could backfire!
Saying that i am excited about next season and the prospect of GP managing a team he's put together!

He's probably saying that to find the cash to fund the community pitches.

It doesnt take a brain surgeon to work this out A: He'll building up Joe's confidence B:) Its not as if we are going to sell him now, so obviously £1m is out of the question, but in a few years times when we are in League 1...why not?

The last time we had "such a vocal manager" was John Bond.
Talked more than Peters ever does - unfortunately most of it was bol** ;D

Not such a bad idea.Look at the way Arsenal and Man U have gone though the best players in the teams in the world to find Goalkeeping talent,Liverpool are prime examples good but inconsitent keepers in Dudeck and Kirkland.A special position in any team where mistakes in game are harshly punisished,Hart as a new talent is a prime target,One million too little,if we want to keep the boy Three million and sell ons, because to the top clubs thats peanuts.. for a good keeper.

hardly surpriseing.
After signing some obscure promising teenager from a struggling division 3 side, they go onto shortly sign Maik Taylor, Mark Crossley and Edwin Van der Sarr.
Hardly surprising he didnt get a chance
However he is now playing for a solid League 1 side, which is considerably better than our less than solid league 2 side.
