Enjoyed it much more than I though I would.
We put together some decent football at times and man of the match was Tinson who was absolutely superb.
Just gutted that Sheron's 45 yard lob didn't go in.
PS Scully was a card wasn't he?

Tinson was excellent today, reads the game well and organises those around him. well worth a contract for another year. misses very few games due to injury or suspension.

misses very few games due to injury or suspension. An excellent record. A model professional.

We'd be mad to not retain Tinson for another season. Particularly bearing in mind the new transfer window regulations next season.

I'm sure he would take reduced terms to stay.
If I had Cowan, Tinson, Hart, Howie, Ashton, Challis, Whitehead, Walton and a new right back at STFC next year, I would feel very comfortable about our defence.
My main signings for next year would be a goalscorer, a right and centre midfielder and a right back.
I suspect though that departures elsewhere in the squad will also leave us needing a left winger, a centre half and a goalkeeper.

Tinson is always excellent. Some people just look at the birth certificate and ignore the evidence on Saturday afternoons.

Exactly. Tinno is superb. Give him a new contract or sign John Terry as a decent replacement

Agreed, Tinson must stay - he can even do a bit of physio on the pitch - he was the first one to Challis in the second half when the match officials were taking absolutely no notice of the fact that he had been taken down. Not blaming the ref who was keeping up with play but surely the linesman should have seen it.
As has been said - Tinno is a consumate professional and must stay.

I must say that I have had little digs about Tinson in the past, not the fact that he has played badly, but the fact that advancing years may take their toll on his pace. Have to say though, he has impressed me more and more of late. He may not be the fastest these days but his ability to read the game buys him a few yards every time. Would def want him offered another year. Wish he had a left foot though!
