Life's never dull at the Meadow is it? I'm trying to come to terms with not having Lukey or Lowie to bang the goals in for us next season - its been a long time since we've had such a radical change up front. Sadly, none of the arrivals since Luke and Lowie made their mark have added much with the exception of Jemmo.
Kelvin looks a prospect, but he's more of a playmaker and ball winner than a regular scorer so far. Sheron has the pedigree, but has he still got the legs to justify a place as striker? Marco might be another Luke - but is he ready to step up so far so soon?
Seems to me that GP has a fairly major priority - get us a new front man.
Personally I'd go for someone like Rory Fallon - seems a bit unsettled at Swindon, knows the club. Perhaps GP already has some young thruster from Preston Youth in mind? Thoughts?

Could a deal be already done with someone? I think it might of been. Apparently Yeovil were very impressed with Fallon, he may go there.

I trust GP, our goals scoring record this season has been fairly patchy and mostly dire. Only R&D have scored fewer away from home (13 compared to our 14). If we are going to challenge next season, we have to be able to win away from home. That means better set pieces and a more prolific strike force. Langmead and Sheron? Don't think so, not enough mobility.

With Fallon and Langmead it certainly wouldn't be a case of getting in behind 'em!! BUT with the way Peters likes to play, preaching the importance of crosses into the box, those two could well be dangerous...if we get the right widemen in delivering quality!! A Cheltenham fan says they're interested in Shaun Goater. There will be plenty of proven strikers out of contract in the summer - it's just whether we're willing to pay 'em what they want!! Alternatively, going on GP's comments on Shrewsweb, he could be bringing in a load of youngsters with the aim of consolidating next year, giving 'em experience, and then pushing on the following year. Either way I don't think free flowing football will be the order of the day!! And to be honest, after so many years of failure i couldn't give a monkey's arse so long as we get some results!! So, in summary... Over to you GP - continue to impress me!!

didnt we have Fallon here a couple of seasons back? Cows arse and Banjos keep springing into my head....... He was here on loan - and to be fair it was very early in his career. Regarding your headful of bovine anuses and stringed instruments, have you thought of going on stage? A man who can produce a cowfart version of "Duelling Banjoes" from his ears would be awesome - if a bit messy

Indeed he was, always looked quite good, however as time went by, his confidence went down the s**tter as the town fans began to barrack him

The way GP appears to like us playing I think we are likely to see more emphasis on goals coming from midfield. Edwards can provide, Smith maybe? if fit & GP likes what he is yet to see?
