Paul takes all bets ;D
On my internship last summer I worked regular shifts of 7am-8:30/9:00pm. I enjoyed the work though so the time went reasonably quickly

It was when i was 17 and I bought my first car and insured it with the proceeds ;D. Quite tired after though, i kept on reversing the tractor and trailer RSJ's all over the place because I couldn't see properly

During first gulf war, 92 hours with no sleep, then slept for a full 18 hours I spent two and a half days once on a blaze on the Wrekin when i was in the fire service. Absolutely knackered and pactically dead on my feet. 96 hours is unreal. Respect is due

I regularly work 100 hours a week, sometimes peaking at 120. I think i've managed 18 hours on one single day and then I couldn't sleep because there was live Australian cricket on throughout the night which I ended up watching!

I can remember a time when i started at 10am on a saturday morning, working through til 1am next morning. Shortly after getting rat arsed, drinking til 7am and having to do the exact same shift again. Theres nothing worse than having a massive hangover whilst working in a very hot kitchen. Never again!! Well....til the next time!!

when i worked in Telford, i think the longest shift I did was the usual 8-5, getting home at 6.30, then having to go back at 7.30 because one of the prototype lines had stopped and was threatening to stop the Denso line, our biggest customer... if we had stopped Denso, they would have charged about £10,000 an hour until the parts arrived finished about 1am and slept in the first aid room

7-30am - 9pm is the longest I've done. I'm guessing Pricey that all those 9-30am - 4-30pm days you've been doing have finally caught up with you

7 Am to 11 Pm 7 days a week for 3 months without a day off - think that is now technically ilegal but as it was time and a half from Wed lunch and double time allday Sun the Student loan got paid off quick sharp - mind you I did sleep for 32 hours out of 48 when I stopped !

A drop in the ocean compared to others, but I once worked from 05:30 Tuesday to 17:15 on Wednesday when working in Bristol.
We had a massive day/night inspection by Sainsbury's, who were our main customer!!

have often done overnighters working on some insolvency deals, so start at 8 am finish at 6 or 7pm next day.
worst one i had was a week where i worked till 2am 3 nights, till 4 am 1 night and back in the office 2 hours later. on the remaining night i got away by 6 to go and see the town play chester and we lost 1-0 - the year of the great escape i think. that was the worst night of the lot of em!

Teaching has always been one of those "tip of the iceberg" jobs! The Daily Mail used to go on about STATE SCHOOL teachers being well-paid part timers, whilst teachers at Independent schools worked long hours (according to them.) When I was last working full time- I used to get to school for 7:45, rush lunch in about 15 minutes to set out afternoon's work, and I'd leave school about 5:30. Get the evening meal, then work until between 8:00pm and 10:00 pm. Most of us worked about the same. Occasionally, I've stayed up till 2am- if there has been something very special or important to prepare. It's O.K. if you work in a happy school- but I worked for 10 years for the Headmaster from Hell- and there wasn't a lot of other jobs in the area to go to, just then. We have holidays, though! I used to spend the first three weeks sleeping! Then we were expected to go into school to get things ready for September. One Headmistress I worked for couldn't even switch off when she went away- she kept phonong the school caretaker asking him to make a list of the teachers who'd been in working- and for how many days, how long..etc.. The most I've worked recently is about 25 hours a week, on two sites. (But I'm officially retirement age for a woman!)
