Well thats my love affair with GP over. "The Board are super" "They're committed".........sure that should be "They should be committed". Bring back Quinn,I've always been unsure about this fella from day 1 Seriously though how can he say,as he did a while back that the Club has been run badly for far too long, loads of things wrong, amateurish and needs to become organised and professional etc(not exact quote I know but bet I'm not far off)and now he says the same guys who were running it then are a top bunch. Answers please to Confused Shrewforever,thanks..

Perhaps he didn't mean the business side of the Club was wrong but the playing, training, etc. side?
After all, to be fair to the Board - we are solvent.

Answers please to Confused Shrewforever,thanks.. there are somethings that could be done better by the club, we have all come across the odd foul up here and there, financially its run very well, in that if extra is needed then the board put extra in, players being payed off like under Quinn is not good business, GP thinks/knows he has a better way, its been a seperate thing under quite a few managers, they look after the team the board run the club, GP wants to be involved of the pitch as well, he has already done so, bringing the drum back in, making phone calls to fans who handed in season tickets and got them back, the one side affects the other so he wants it all working right. This is what makes him different, and in my opinion a god send

May I also add that how can anyone say that he's not commited? OK, he hasn't signed a contract and we know why that is, but to be fair he's been to see reserves and youth teams, goes to watch football up and down the country everyday and when he isn't watching football he's in his office for 12 hours a day. He hasn't signed a contract IMO because then he has the board by the balls and also because of the reasons of morality he says.... GP is going to make this club big again!

This contract thing is funny, contracts cost money, its ok saying if he goes to another club we would get compensation, it would be peanuts. To me it shows he is willing to prove his worth and just wants the same back, from the fans and the board. Our board have made mistakes yes, but compared to the majority of other clubs we have quite a good relationship with ours and its getting better bit by bit.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - the Board may not get everything right all the time but we should be very very grateful that we have one which is not only reasonably competent in running a football club but which genuinely has the clubs best interests at heart.
We're very lucky. Let's hope it stays that way....
