Anyone going to wear England stuff to the match on Saturday.
I for one will be wearing my England top and maybe my flag.
Any pubs doing anything special or is that a stupid question?

St Patrick was a roman that may have been born in Ireland or possibly Scotland, Wales, Cumberland or the continent with the most popular choice being Southern England.
St Andrew is widely thought of as being a fisherman from Galilee.
If its good enough for them then its good enough for me.
Roll on St Georges Day

St Patrick did go to Ireland though they now think St George was a palestinian christian who was martyred by the Romans which is why the Crusaders who heard the legend picked up the idea of him being a great hero I know he has been the patron saint of England since 1300 sometime, Edward and all that malarky, but I just find the patriotism quite hard when he is also the Patron Saint of Catalonia Georgia Lithuania Palestine Portugal Germany Greece and also the cities of: Moscow Istanbul Genoa Venice For the English to take pride in a Saint we share with the Germans who could have been from Turkey is a little odd But oh well, sounds like a good excuce for a party

Unfortunately I very much doubt many pubs will be doing anything for it, although I saw a lot of decorations in the Albion Vault's windows so not sure if they are doing anything I remember a few years ago alot of pubs in Coleham were doing stuff but not sure if that is the case this year. No doubt there will be some dodgy drinks deals in various town centre pubs (buy 4 bottles of alcohopop p!ss we can't get rid of and get a free st georges flag transfer tattoo) The thing is everyone goes on about how many people celebrate St. Patricks day overhere but lets face it thats just due to the commercialisation with Guiness. How many p!ssed up English people do you see on the day who buy 4 pints of Guiness just to get a stupid foam hat I certainly will be celebrating St Georges day, the fact that he was allegedly from Turkey is of no relevance, he is our patron saint and as a patriotic englishmen I will drink stupid amounts to celebrate him (just like Im sure he would want us to)

I hope we see some flags around the Town! No prizes for the first person to spot a story where someone has taken offence to an English flag somewhere in this country though

Always nice to see a smart Englishman, walking down the street with a red rose in his lapel. Those jocks who wear a weed and the taffs with their root vegetables are a disgrace
