Personally I think not - all too often this season he has flattered to decieve and his overall contribution is minimal. Nothing more I'd like to see than Kevin Street get a starting role in the centre.

Street or Edwards - who was excellent vs Oxford.
Jamie has been very poor since the victories over Kiddie/ Chester.

I'd play Tolley and Street in the centre with Sammy and Edwards on the wings, I'd be very surprised if GP sees it that way however and Tolley could have no complaints really if he finds himself warming the bench on Saturday...

At last someone sees sense. It would be great for Kevin to make a start in the team, it would be nice if he was given a chance aswell especially without the off putting comments like last week Im sure they fill him with confidence NOT Hes been playing really well in the reserves just give him a chance

But Ashton has been our best centre mid in recent weeks? I knew I'd forgotten about someone Tolley on the bench!

I wouldn't even have him on the bench with his present form.

Is it a case of a name being on the pitch instead of a player?

No.
Anonymous last week, and poor against Oxford. Certainly hasnt warranted his place lately. I cant believe he is better than Street/Sedge/MOC.
Jamie offers nothing to the team at the moment, we cannot afford passengers in the side, especially in such a central area.

40.08 "Shrewsbury substitution: Jamie Tolley replaced by Martyn O'Connor (tactical)."

40.08 "Shrewsbury substitution: Jamie Tolley replaced by Martyn O'Connor (tactical)." Not according to Dunny really, just think GP is trying to get him to put himself about a bit more, a man on a mission is the words he used to descibe him today

It's seemed to me that Jamie was playing at his best when he was partnered with Sedge who played the anchor role. Everyone's jobs were clearly defined. He doesn't cope well with having to anchor for others or having to swap roles to let someone else get forward - he falls between the stools and ends up chasing the game. Until a couple of weeks ago I'd have started each teamsheet by putting Sedgemore and Tolley in the middle, but as Ashton's emerged as our best/most in-form central player, and Jamie hasn't learned to partner him yet, he has to give way to someone who can.

GP has said that JT has fallen behind in his development, he has been a bit in and out of things lately, I think that GP is willing to be more patient than we are. We know what he is capable of so hopefully he can do it more often

I think tolley should start because he gets stuck into tackles and wins the ball and he is a good player

Should we have taken the £10,000 from Chester?

Tolley has had more chances than any one,a so called Welsh international,Sorry that reputation does not cut any ice with me.Him and O`Conner would be first to be shown the door. Both flatter to decieve the eye.

I'd make Tolley captain next season. A very brave statement on a B&A Tolley thread Sean but I would too
