I'm just off to go on a course.
Daft thing, me- I volunteered to go, I didn't have to- but it's about Autism and as I'm still teaching kids with Specific Learning difficulties, I thought it would be useful.
Anyone else been on any courses, lately?
What's the most interesting course you've ever been on?
What's been the most boring?
We all need a course especially for Shrewsbury Town fans- how to reamain cheerful and avoid a severe case of depression.
Imagine the title? "Self-Help for Distressed Shrews fans"?

Just finishing the Stragegic Health Authorities Clinical Leadership Programme. Very "hairy fairy". Lots of role play Best coarse was the Care and management of Patients requiring High Dependancy Care. Excellent and very intersting. Worst was the Assessing and Mentorship of Students in Clinical Practice. Stunningly boring.

I used to be a technical trainer, I did it for 12 years.
As a result, I don't tend to take courses seriously enough now, I know what the trainer is going through, he/she probably only learned the previous day that the course was happening, is working straight from a scripted lesson plan, and doesn't know the subject anyway.
At least thats what it was like when I was a trainer.
