Amazing thing with Atalanta was they generated so much noise and yet the majority of the ground had no roof on it.

But how did they possibly get away with handing out several thousand offensive weapons?

Italy obviously doesn't have as stringent health and safety laws as we do over here.
At both the San Siro and Atalanta there are perspex fences situated around the whole of the pitch. It seems the Itaslian authorities are quite happy as long as the players and officials are away from trouble.
The atmosphere at both games was 10 times better than most English games I've seen. At the San Siro there was between 5 and 10 thousand AC Milan fans singing full pelt from about 1 and a half hours before kick off until the match ended - even more suprising considering their team played rubbish

The club handed out free flags to every home fan. I really hope that the Town could do something like this, maybe the very first league game at the new Meadow? Really adds a touch of colour and gets the crowd involved and supporting the team. Would be good to see the new stadium decked in blue and amber when the players walk out...try and make it home as quickly as we can... Do you think it would cost a fair bit? Maybe its sommat B&A could try and sort out? Maybe not to one and all but perhaps to all the fans in the 'fan block'...behind the goal or wherever the Riversiders setup at the New Meadow?

It was a top idea and something we should look to learn from. We should really look into it as it looked bloody brill at Atalanta.

Shame on you Anthony for such a woeful idea 1) It will take sales away from the club shop 2) Flag poles can be used as offensive weapons 3) It requires an ounce of initiative Unless we do it ourselves, conceal them from all stewards and don't ask permission from the club we won't stand a chance PS This is not a dig at Judy or Whitters, who would try and get us permission and be equally frustrated

Any truth in the comment made by one member of the Italian trip party,
'I'd forgotten what real football was like after what I have watched all season'
